Y/N thought it would be best to use this time and study both teams intensely, so she was ready for the finals, no matter which team they were going to face. Both teams, Rideout and Beigoma have good potential and strength, both sides have their own flaws as well. The (h/c) haired girl had a pen and notebook out, ready to observe so tonight she can come up with strategies and plans. Throughout the whole tournament, she had noticed that there were always those two/three people that their whole team relies on. In Beigoma's case, it was Shu. In Rideout's case, it was either Lui or their captain. In the sword flame's case, it was Xander. It's never good to have only one person to rely on though, the whole team needs to be good to win since one person can only go up and battle once during the whole match. Usually, a team sends in the same bladers each round. Y/N noted. It is always their strongest bladers who get to take the spotlight, the rest were bench warmers. Even the (h/c) haired girl had to work her butt off to be able to get into matches and become one of those 'strong bladers' on a team.

"Victory doesn't come to people who aren't willing to work for it" A certain blonde blader had said once. Y/N remembered well. She was just starting to blade back in elementary school. She remembered a certain black-eyed, emotionless boy standing before her, the (h/c) haired girl was seated on the ground, looking up at him. She remembered the yellow top he wore, and the single red streak of hair he had. The boy was just a little bit older than Y/N, taller as well.

"And here we are! Round two of the semi-finals!" The announcer called over the loudspeakers. This caught Y/N off guard since she was spaced out and thinking about her past. She blinked a couple of times. She now saw two teams on both sides of the stadium, Beigoma, and Rideout.
"Lui still isn't going to show up, huh?" Zac put a hand on his chin and pretended to frown. "Sad"
"I think that's a good thing for Beigoma. If he arrived, then Valt's team doesn't stand a chance" The (h/c) haired girl butted in, scribbling a couple of notes into her notebook. Ren nodded in agreement, his eyebrows knitted together to get a closer look at both of the teams. Beigoma vs Rideout. The (e/c) eyed girl thought to herself, a sweat tear rolled down her cheek as she gripped her notebook tighter. I guess we're in for a wild ride. I'd honestly much rather face Beigoma than Rideout, facing my friends just seem way more interesting, so pray that Lui doesn't show up. Y/N stopped thinking to herself because the match was about to start. The board above the stadium changed screens, so we could all see the chosen bladers for this match. Of course, Beigoma went with Shu, Valt, and Wakyia. Rideout, on the other hand, choose their captain, Gabe, obviously, Katana, someone Y/N didn't know all that much, and Shinki, also a mystery to Y/N. The (h/c) haired girl quickly scribbled down their names, and the names of Beigoma's chosen three, ready to take notes, hoping to come up with some kind of plan for tomorrow's game. The first match was about to start. Gabe, Rideout's captain, was very strong, Y/N knew that, but somehow, he wasn't a member of the supreme four, so maybe he was lacking something, let's just hope they will be able to take him out. They need to. Y/N thought a sweat tear rolled down her cheek. Or else they might lose the chance to go to the finals.
"What is this? The first bladers are Katana Sakaki and Valt Aoi!" The announcer gasped dramatically as the two bladers made their way up to the stage. Y/N saw a familiar blue-haired kid from Beigoma and a tall brown-haired boy with goggles on his head from Rideout. Valt seemed way more concentrated than usual.
"Twinkle toes really wants to make it to the finals to face us, yeah?" Zac commented, noticing Valt's serious expression as well. The blonde boy uncrossed his legs, putting his hands on his lap to get a closer look at the stage. "I have high hopes for him" He continued in his British accent. Ren folded his arms, waiting for the match to start. Y/N noticed Ren's behavior and smiled. Ren was always good at observing an opponent, and adapting to their battle style, he might even adjust his plan in a battle to win. He can tell a bey's strengths and weaknesses just by watching them. The (h/c) haired girl recalled. Y/N found Zac leaning over the girl's shoulder to catch her attention since he was sitting in the row behind Y/N.
"Ren here is a fine blader, your childhood friend, I suppose?" Zac wondered. "I wonder where he learned to blade like that" The (e/c) eyed girl turn to the blonde-haired boy, the smile remained on her face.
"Mhm, he even beat Shu in a battle a while back" She informed Zac. Hearing this, his eyes widened in surprise. After a couple of seconds, he started to smile.
"My, My, this boy is a strong one" Zac commented. The (h/c) haired girl gave him a small nod in agreement before turning back to the battle, the beys were already in the stadium clashing. Valt usually does for a rush-launch first thing, he might not look like he knows what he's doing, but he does. Y/N observed, writing all this down. If we face Beigoma, they will probably put Shu in last, if any of them messed up, Shu will be able to come in last and put them back on track. The (h/c) haired girl also wrote down. We can't forget the finals goes to five points, if we plan for that as well, we can be two steps ahead of Beigoma. Shu is probably the one coming up with strategies, lucky for me, I'm pretty familiar with how he thinks.
"Continue using rush-launch!" Valt cried, pumping his fist forward.
"Valt seems to be rushing things, he wants to get rid of the opponent as fast as he can" Ren murmured out loud, Y/N just barely catching it. "But sadly for him," Ren paused as Katana's bey destroyed Valt's. "A battle isn't meant to be rushed" Zac brightened up.
"You know a lot!" He beamed. Poor Valt, Y/N thought as she watched her friend walk back to his team, slouching, obviously upset with his performance.
"Valt applied too much pressure on Katana's bey" Y/N spoke up, tapping her pen on her chin. "Katana gained more strength from that pressure throughout the battle, but Valt was too set on winning to realize what his opponent was doing. You need to be able to notice when an opponent's bey changes in any way because that will affect your ability to win" The (h/c) haired girl finished. Ren nodded in approval as the second bladers came out to face each other. Like Y/N had thought, Wakyia was going next, and Shu was going last.
"Next up, is Wakyia and Shinki! So that means the last match is going to be Gabe and Shu Kurenai himself!" The commentator exclaims, earning cheers from the crowd.
