Tanjiro Pov:

The boy looked at me with a disgusted expression, saying: "How would you be able to find me, that place has a cloaking spell cast upon it to mask it from other people's sight. Compared to that... Isn't that woman a Demon?" I nodded at him, answering: "Nezuko's my little sister, and a Demon now." He turned around and started to walk, saying: "Their both brutes of women anyway." I took a second to rethink about what he just said. Brute? Does he mean brutish women or something? Who's he talking about?

I turned slightly, looking at Nezuko, then (Y/N). Slowly, the dots connected. "How are they brutes?! Look closely! Everybody has stated that Nezuko is a beauty in our town! And (Y/N) is obviously gorgeous!" I yelled, flailing my arms around. (Y/N) took one of my hands, starting to walk after him. "We're going." he said, making me huff. "No, wait, we can go, but you said brutes, so we're definitely not okay with this." I stated, continuing to flail my free arm around. "I'll bring you to a brighter place, so you can have a better look. That place over there!" He ignored all of my attempts to convince him.

As we reached a house, the boy said: "I'm back." to the doctor lady from before. I stopped my ranting, asking: "Ah, is she alright? I'm so sorry for leaving her with you." "She's fine now." answered the doctor, placing a hand on the woman's head. "Her husband... He's a different case. He's held in the dungeon right now." Out of curiosity, I asked: "Does it feel uncomfortable handling the wounds of a human?" Without more than a second to react, the boy hit me.

(Y/N) Pov:

I looked up at the boy, while he said: "As Demons, we must endure the saliva brought on by the smell of fresh flesh and blood. And you want us to treat humans as well?" "Stop. Why must you resort to violence." intervened the lady, looking at the boy with concern. She then turned to look at me, Nezuko, and Tanjiro, saying: "I haven't introduced myself yet. My name Tamayo, and this child is Yushiro. Please try to get along with him." I smiled sweetly at her, nodding, saying: "Of course! I always love to get new friends!"

At that, Yushiro glared at me. However, I kept the smile on my face, bowing slightly, saying: "Let's get along, Yushiro." Of course I haven't forgotten what he said about Nezuko and me, but it didn't bother me as much. I mean, after he said that, Tanjiro did say that I was gorgeous, so... I felt a blush creep onto my face as I faced Tamayo again, trying to ignore the pounding inside my chest. Tamayo said: "That's really nice to hear, dear. And to answer your question, it does not feel particularly uncomfortable. I have an easier time with it compared to normal Demons. I am able to manipulate my body to my own whim, which made it possible for me to remove Kibutsuji's curse as well."

Wait, wait. A curse? Is that... Is that the reason why Demon's have to eat human flesh? That's... absurd. "Manipulate... your body?" asked Tanjiro, bringing me out of my thoughts. "It means that I can survive even without partaking human flesh. All I need is to drink a small amount of human blood, that's all." "Drink blood? That's..." "Like a vampire?" I asked, tilting my head slightly.

After we sat down, Tamayo explained how she and Yushiro get the blood they need. "Yushiro is even more impressive as he only needs a minuscule amount of blood to survive. I was the one that transformed him into a Demon." My eyes widened slightly as I asked: "Wha- Really?!" while Tanjiro asked: "Eh? It was you?!" Tamayo smiled sadly, saying: "Indeed. People other than Kibutsuji are unable to increase the amount of Demons... This is factually correct." I tilted my head in confusion. Then how...?

She continued: "However, after going through over 200 years, the only person that was able to transform into a Demon, was Yushiro." Tanjiro gasped, asking: "The only person able to transform after going through 200 years is Yushiro?! Tamayo-san, exactly how old are you?!" "Don't just ask a lady for her age, you uncouth ruffian!" yelled Yushiro, making me hide behind Tanjiro, who was being hit by Yushiro again. "Yushiro! I'm not going to forgive you if you hit him again!" declared Tamayo, a slightly angered expression on her face. "Understood!" called Yushiro immediately, sitting back down.

I then asked: "You alright?" towards Tanjiro, who nodded, a light smile on his face as to reassure me. I returned it. Tamayo explained: "I hope that you don't misunderstand this one thing. I won't increase the number of Demons. But to a person that is plagued by a disease without cure and is about to die, this is the only option I can offer them. During that moment, I will definitely ask that person if they want to continue living forever as a Demon, before continuing."

I glanced at Tanjiro, with him doing the same. We nodded at the same time, with him asking: "Tamayo-san. Is there a way to turn a human-turned-Demon back into a human?" She stayed silent for a little, then said: "A way of turning a Demon back into human... There is one." We both gasped, hugging each other, cheering. "That's... Nezuko can...!" I stated, not being able to finish my sentences. "Please tell us, Tamayo-san!" said Tanjiro, tightening his grip around me.

Tamayo smiled kindly at us, saying: "No matter what kind of sickness it is, there will always be treatment methods and medicine for it. However, at my current stage, I can't turn a Demon into a human. But I will do my best to research and develop a methods of treatment. To make the medicine for treatments, there is a need to investigate a large amount of Demon blood. I have two things I need to ask of the two of you."

Tanjiro and I listened carefully as Tamayo continued: "First, I want to investigate your sister's blood. Second, do your best to gather as much blood from Demons with Kibutsuji's blood coursing through their veins." I glanced over at Nezuko, still listening. "Nezuko is currently at a very rare and very precarious stage of development. This change probably occurred during those two years that she has been asleep, which you told me about. Normally, if a Demon hasn't eaten the flesh and blood of a human or beast for such a long time, there is no doubt that it would go berserk. However, the more surprising thing is that Nezuko doesn't have any of those symptoms right now. This miracle might become the key to unlocking this mystery in the future."

"Nezuko..." muttered Tanjiro. I hugged him tighter, saying: "Don't worry, okay? She'll be okay." He nodded. Tamayo continued her speech by saying: "The second thing I want from you is a very cruel one. The Demons with thick Kibutsuji blood coursing in them are Demons that have... gained a massive amount of strength from Kibutsuji himself. It won't be an easy task robbing these Demons of their blood. Even so, are you willing to accept my request?" Tanjiro patted Nezuko's head, while I leaned more onto him, nodding my head.

"If there's no other option for me to take, then I'll go do it. If Tamayo-san is able to investigate a large amount of Demon blood to create and manufacture medicine, then not just the life of Nezuko... The lives of even more people will be saved, right?" "Yes." "But... (Y/N), are you sure you want to do it, too?" I raised an eyebrow at Tanjiro, asking: "Why shouldn't I?" "That's... You could get hurt, you know?" I giggled a bit, saying: "Yeah, I know. But I want to save lots and lots of people. Besides, if you go and try to do it alone, you might get hurt. Or worse. And I don't want Nezuko to lose her brother, too. I know what it's like to be alone all of the sudden, so I don't want anyone else to live through that." He smiled at me, saying: "That's what I thought. Thank you." I only smiled as response. Then, suddenly, Yushiro jumped up, covering Tamayo, yelling: "Get down!"
