3rd Person Pov:

"Was it originally like this?" asked Tanjiro, holding the ripped book closer to his face. Senjuro answered: "No, it wasn't like this. The 'generational flame Pillar record' is supposed to be preserved really well. I think my father tore it apart. I'm very sorry."

"Oh, you don't have to be! You didn't do it, so don't feel sorry." said (Y/N), a reassuring smile on her lips. Senjuro returned it, then said: "You two purposely came all this way but you couldn't find anything about this Hinokami Kagura or the Breath of the sun my father spoke off."

Tanjiro said: "It's fine. I know what I should do anyways." His expression turned into one of determination as he continued: "I'll train some more. Even though I know the steps of the Hinokami Kagura, I can't perform it perfectly."

He then faced his girlfriend, saying: "And I'll teach you everything I know about it." Nodding, (Y/N) said: "Yes, please." Suddenly, their crow flew in, landing onto Nezuko's box. "(Y/N) (L/N)! You are to immediately meet up with the Hashiras!"

"What?" asked (Y/N), looking at the crow with concern. "What did I do?" she asked, glancing at the two boys. "Meet up with the Hashiras! Now!" the crow called, making her sigh. "Well, I guess I'll meet you back at the butterfly estate, then." she said, standing up. Tanjiro nodded at her.

Bowing, she said: "I'm very sorry for leaving early, but it was nice seeing you again, Senjuro." He nodded, smiling lightly as she left.

Time skip: with the Hashiras

(Y/N) Pov:

I was panting as I arrived, watching as the crow landed on a nearby tree. I took a deep breath, then went towards the house that I heard chatting from. And, sure enough, the Hashiras were there, talking to each other, or simply standing by themselves.

"(Y/N), you're here." said Onii-chan, catching me slightly off-guard. I then nodded, walking up to him. "Yes. Why am I here?" I asked, looking up at him. He hesitated, then answered: "We're deciding whether or not you become a Hashira."

My eyes widened as I processed his words. "M-Me? A Hashira?" He nodded, turning his head to look at the other Hashiras. I did so, too, quickly bowing down, saying: "Pleased to meet you again."

Then, all of the Hashiras bowed down, and Oyakata-sama spoke up. "(Y/N), dear, how have you been?" I stood back up, answering: "Apart from that one mission, I've been rather well." He had the same, calm smile on his face, and his voice was just as soothing as the last time I met him.

"Now, we are here to mourn one last time over the flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku. And to determine whether (Y/N) will become the next flame Hashira." he said. "There's nothing to be discussed. Look at her, she's not even close to being a Hashira." said Iguro-san, if I remembered his name correctly.

"Now, now. The situation with her is quite unusual." began Oyakata-sama, which silenced Iguro-san. He then turned to face me, smiling calmly, saying: "Our (Y/N) here has the potential to become the very strongest Demon Slayer there is."

"What?!" "Eh?" "No way!" "Are you sure?" asked the Hashiras, each of them looking at me. I just smiled, not looking away from Oyakata-sama, who continued: "She comes from a bloodline that can master and use more than one kind of breathing technique."

"Wait, Oyakata-sama, are you implying that she's related to Kei-sama?" asked Shinobu-san, her eyes wide. "That can't be..." trailed Iguro-san off, his eyes almost piercing my very soul. "Kei (L/N) is indeed (Y/N)'s father. She inherited the same abilities that he had." stated Oyakata-sama, which caused most of the Hashiras to gasp.

"Was dad that well-known?" I asked, tilting my head a little. Shinobu-san answered: "Of course he was. Kei-sama was a strong, kind man. He was on Hashira level in every breathing technique there is. If someone like him would appear once more, then..." She trailed off, her eyes practically glued on me.

"(Y/N)-chan, let me train you. I'll teach you everything about the insect breathing." she said, smiling as usual. I was about to say something, as Uzui-san spoke up: "No way! Come with me, girl. I'll show you the sound breathing!" "I'm not too fond of the idea of training you, but I'd teach you the serpent breathing." said Iguro-san.

I stepped back, saying: "Uh, I'd like to, but I'll start with the Hinokami Kagura from Tanjiro." "Not quite." said Onii-chan, placing a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him in a questioning way. He said: "I have a week to spare, so I'll teach you the eleventh form."

"Whatever you decide to do, (Y/N), we will now vote whether or not you will be the next flame Hashira." stated Oyakata-sama, gaining all of our attention once more. "Please, if you don't mind, demonstrate us a technique you've learned from Kyojuro." he said, making me nod, saying: "Alright."

I stepped a little away from them, drawing my sword. I took in a certain breath, then said: "Breath of Fire, fifth form, Flame Tiger!" The flaming tiger appeared out of nowhere, and I hit the ground with my sword, causing it to break partly.

"Ah, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to destroy the ground! I'm sorry!" I called out, panicking slightly as the flames disappeared again. I was about to say something else, as Sanemi-san said: "Now show us another breathing technique. A different style."

I paused for a second, then said: "Uh, okay." I took another, deep breath, noticing that the color of my blade changed from red to blue. "Breath of Water, sixth form, Whirlpool." I said, unleashing the attack in front of me.

I turned back around, being able to see the amazement on most of their faces. Huh. I guess learning multiple techniques really is amazing. "Now that all of you are convinced, let's vote. Simply raise your arm if you think that (Y/N) is ready to become the next flame Hashira." spoke Oyakata-sama.

Kanroji-san, Sanemi-san, and Uzui-san held their hands up. The white haired girl next to Oyakata-sama said: "That makes three." "Now, raise your arm if you think that she's not ready yet."

Iguro-san, Himejima-san, Tokito-san, Shinobu-san, and Onii-chan raised their arms. "That makes five." said the white haired girl, smiling like Oyakata-sama. "Very well. It is decided that (Y/N) will not be the next flame Hashira. For now, at least."

"Alright. I'll be a Hashira one day, but I know that I'm not ready yet." I said, nodding once. Placing a hand on my head, Onii-chan said: "Let's go." I hesitated to follow him, turning around to face the other Hashiras and Oyakata-sama to say goodbye.
