(Y/N) Pov:

Wh-What am I supposed to do...? That guy is STILL holding onto me, yelling: "I'm about to die! I'll definitely die the next time I'm on the job! I'm super weak, and don't think I'm exaggerating! You need to protect me before I finally get married!" Tanjiro glared at him, while I couldn't do anything at all.

I looked at Tanjiro in hopes he could help me. This boy is definitely way too loud for me. "Please, marry me! Marry me before I die!" he yelled, tears threatening to spill. I sweat dropped, saying: "S-Stop crying first, please..." He immediately stopped, asking: "Will you marry me now?" I awkwardly looked over at Tanjiro. He definitely had enough and pulled that guy off of me.

Tanjiro then sighed, saying: "My name is Kamado Tanjiro!" Why- Why would he introduce himself now? Of all times? "Is that so?! I'm sorry. My name is Agatsuma Zenitsu! Help me, Tanjiro!" At that, Tanjiro snapped a little, saying: "Why would a person like you, who asks for the help of somebody he just met, want to be a swordsman! How can you be so shameless to such an extent!" "That's way too harsh! It's because I was decived by a woman, and I've got a buttload of debt! That guy I owe money to says that I need to repay the debt the woman owes him as well, so he 'groomed' me!"

He suddenly bent backwards, standing on all fours, yelling: "I went through a hellish training regime every day, and during that time, I really thought I might as well just die! And I thought I really was going to die during the final selection! In the end, I was lucky and I survived. Then I ended up back in that hellish lifestyle again! Ah- scary, scary, so scary! I don't want this ahh--! I don't want this at all! Save meeee!" Everything he said was loud and shrill, making me cover my ears halfway through.

Tanjiro asked: "What's going on with you? Are you okay?" I decided to help Tanjiro with that loud boy by saying: "A-Anyways, Zenitsu, right?" He looked up at me, his brown-yellow eyes widening. "C-Can I marry you now?" Before I could slap him, Tanjiro did, yelling: "Cut that out! She's not gonna marry you!" I nodded in approval, pouting slightly. Then, I shook my head lightly, saying: "I'm (L/N) (Y/N). Nice to meet you, Zenitsu. Well, a bit." "(Y/N)-chan... Such a pretty name for a pretty girl like you... I'm in love!" Smacking him over the head once more, Tanjiro continued to walk, dragging Zenitsu with him. I sighed, following.

As we were walking, with Tanjiro making sure that Zenitsu kept a good distance away from me, I glanced over my shoulder. I carried Nezuko with me. Tanjiro was okay with it, as long as I wouldn't hurt my back. "I understand what you're going through, but please don't cause any more trouble for the sparrow." noted Tanjiro.

"Eh... Causing trouble for the sparrow? How did you know?" asked Zenitsu. "Zenitsu is always like this and never wants to go to work. He goes after women whenever he sees one, and he snores really loud. Endless trouble one after another... That's what it's saying." said Tanjiro, pointing at the sparrow that was sitting on his hand. It chirped twice, seeming to agree.

"It's still talking about me right now?! You can understand bird language?!" asked/yelled Zenitsu. "Yes." was all that Tanjiro answered, making me sigh lightly. "Seriously?! You're making this up, aren't you?" "Caw! Hurry up! Hurry up, Tanjiro, (Y/N), and Zenitsu! Start running! The three of you will move forward to your next location!" called our crow, being able to scream over Zenitsu's loud voice. "Ah! The crow's talking!" yelled Zenitsu, falling over.

Time skip: at the destination

3rd Person Pov:

Standing in front of an old, traditional building, the three teenagers looked up at the house in concern. "There's a smell on blood in the area... But tis smell is..." noted Tanjiro. "Eh? There's a smell?" asked Zenitsu, clearly afraid once again. "This is a smell that I've never encountered before." "I can't smell anything at all, but can you hear a sound coming from over there? Seems like we're going to need to work together in the future as well." "Sound?" asked Tanjiro, thinking for a second. "Ah, over there!" said (Y/N), suddenly running into the forest. "(Y/N)?" "(Y/N)-chan! Wait for me!" the boys called, watching as she vanished into the dark.

Just a minute later, she returned with two kids, a boy and his younger sister. "Kids... H-How did you see them from here?" asked Zenitsu, making (Y/N) grin. Tanjiro asked the children: "What's going on with them? What are you doing here?" The children didn't answer. They were too afraid to. Getting an idea, (Y/N) pointed to the bird in Tanjiro's hand, saying: "Look at that! He has a sparrow on his hand! It's completely tame, too." Tanjiro, immediately getting what she was trying to do, nodded, saying: "It's super cute, right?"

The children visibly relaxed, with Tanjiro asking: "What happened? Is that house over there the home of the two of you?" "No, it's not... It's the home... of the monster..." answered the boy, trembling. "Our older brother was captured by the monster. We were traveling during the night... The monster came, but it ignored the two of us and only took our brother away..." "The monster entered that house over there?" "Yes..." "So the two of you followed it all the way here? That's impressive. You guys are strong."

"We-We were following our brother's blood trail. He's hurt..." explained the boy, hugging his sister close to him. "It's fine. Don't worry. We'll save your brother and defeat that monster. So don't be scared, okay?" asked (Y/N), a gentle, kind smile on her lips. While the young siblings were thanking her, Tanjiro couldn't help but to smile at his partner. He was brought out of his thoughts as Zenitsu asked: "(Y/N)-chan, Tanjiro. What is that sound? Feels really uncomfortable... It keeps on ringing. Is that... a drum?" "I can't hear any-" started Tanjiro, just to hear that sound, too. Suddenly, a body was flying out of the house, down from the balcony. "Don't look!" called (Y/N), covering the smaller children while Tanjiro rushed towards the person that was now on the ground.
