𝕭𝖔𝖓𝖉𝖘 [Tanjiro Kamado X Reader] (Kimetsu no Yaiba)

~chapter twenty-eight~

3rd Person Pov:

"Breath of water. Second Style, Water Wheel!" said Tanjiro, being the first one to act. He attacked the father Demon, his black blade digging into its arm. But it didn't go through. The Demon quickly tried to punch him, but Inosuke used both of his blades to push the Demon's arm down.

"He's tough!" he called out, pushing down with all of his strength. It was only then that the tall Demon threw them both back without a problem, going to attack the third Demon Slayer that was with them.

(Y/N) blocked his attack with her blue sword, being pushed back quite a bit. She gasped as she noticed that the Demon went to punch her with his other arm. She was flung back, her back hitting a nearby tree.

"Don't get near my family!" yelled the Demon, going to attack the next human, which happened to be Tanjiro. Inosuke did try to sneak up on him, but the Demon simply punched him away, making him land in the river.

Tanjiro stood prepared to strike, watching the Demon closely. How could he possibly cut down that Demon? It didn't work before, so how will he do it? Just as the Demon was about to attack, a tall, thick tree suddenly came crashing down, burying the Demon beneath it.

Inosuke and Tanjiro both took a moment to realize what had happened, their heads snapping towards (Y/N), who was grinning, calling: "Go! Cut him down!" Nodding, Tanjiro ran at the Demon, taking in a certain breath.

But, since that Demon wasn't exactly weak, it easily lifted the heavy tree up, starting to swing it towards the teenager. Inosuke tried to help, but he couldn't move much. He had lost too much blood at this point, and it annoyed him to no end.

And just like that, poor Tanjiro was thrown away, being flung far into the sky and away from them. "Wait! Tanjiro!" called (Y/N), watching as he flew. He yelled: "Don't die, you two! That guy's one of the twelve Kizuki! Don't die! Under any circumstance, don't die!" And just like that, he was out of sight for them.

(Y/N) let out a shaky breath, tightening her grip on her sword, turning to glare at the Demon. "You stupid... Just you wait!" she yelled, starting to dash forwards. However, as soon as she made two steps, she spit up blood, her eyes wide.

"What?!" asked Inosuke, confused to what was happening. The girl fell down, coughing a few times. "I-I don't get this..." she muttered, feeling all of her strength leaving her body. "You poor soul. You got bitten by a spider. Now you'll become one yourself." noted a female voice, belonging to the female Demon.

She had stayed close to watch the fight. But now that she knew that one of them was unable to fight and the other one was flung away, it was an easy win for her father. So, she decided to leave now, running away immediately.

"W-Wait... A spider? What? I don't- Huh?!" (Y/N) was more than just confused, feeling immense pain in her arms and legs. She was coughing up even more blood. "Don't be weak, (M/N) (Mispronounced Name)! Get up and fight, coward!" yelled Inosuke, starting to fight the Demon once more.

And sure enough, it didn't take long until he was worn down, panting and hiding. He was trying to think of a way to win this fight, but it was clear that the Demon wouldn't want to give him any time for that. Instead, he smashed the tree Inosuke was hiding behind, breaking it into two pieces.

Under his mask, Inosuke glanced over at (Y/N), who was barely keeping her eyes open. What that female Demon had said, about turning into a spider... It sounded way too off to him, but it could be true. And if that actually is the case, then he would have to carry (Y/N) to safety. The image flashed through Inosuke's mind, a grin of victory spreading on his face as he imagined Tanjiro bowing down to him to thank him.

"I'll safe (M/N) for sure! Just you watch, Tontaro!" he yelled, storming to attack the Demon again. He dodged the Demon's attack, then slashed at it himself, getting one of his swords stuck in the Demon's arm. Then, with the other blade, he pushed his stuck blade further down, resulting in him cutting the arm of the Demon.

"I cut you! It's simple! If I can't cut you down with one blade, I can just hit you with the same blade harder and cut you! Because I got two blades! I'm awesome!" he celebrated, doing a few victory poses.

But, to his utter surprise, the Demon started to run away. "Why're you running, dammit!" yelled Inosuke, starting to run after him. But he lost the Demon just as quickly. "I-Inosuke..." he heard, looking down at (Y/N), who was coughing again.

She simply pointed towards a tree branch that was higher up, and sure enough, there it was. Stepping closer to it, Inosuke noticed that the Demon was shaking furiously. "You're completely shivering in fear of me!" claimed Inosuke, about to take another victory pose, as the Demon suddenly started shedding.

Inosuke's eyes widened as the Demon jumped down, landing in front of him. But now, it was even bigger, and obviously stronger. "No way. He's way too tall. This is really bad." he muttered out, his eyes fixated on the strong Demon.

In that moment, Inosuke almost accepted his defeat, his death. But, quickly realizing that that wouldn't be like him at all, he called:" I am a Demon Hunter, Inosuke Hashibira! Come at me, piece of shit!"

The Demon did as told, attacking Inosuke with extreme strength and speed. It was so fast that Inosuke couldn't even see anything. It knocked Inosuke into a tree, but he didn't seem fazed, going to attack himself.

"Breath of the Beast. Third Fang, Devour!" he said to himself, attempting to cut the Demon's neck. But since the Demon's skin was too tough, both of his blades snapped. He looked at them in frustration, and the Demon used this moment to attack back, flinging poor Inosuke into the ground.

Within the next second, the Demon held the boar man up by his neck, yelling: "Don't get near my family!" Inosuke, feeling that the Demon's grip tightened, said: "I will not die!" 'Breath of the Beast, First Fang, Pierce.' And just like that, he rammed his already broken swords into the Demon's neck, trying to move them, but it wouldn't work.
