Hello, everyone!
Just wanted to say that this chapter contains a tiny bit of information about the whole (L/N) family and such.
The person named Ichika is completely made up by me for the sake of the story, so, hopefully, I didn't confuse any of you :)
Now, I hope you enjoy this chapter!

3rd Person Pov:
The day was nice, the flowers blooming beautifully. A young man holding a tray with Onigiri and tea walked up to another man, who was sitting on the edge of his engawa. A bit behind the man with long hair was a woman, sleeping peacefully.
"I poured some tea." said the one with the tray, smiling kindly. "Ah, thanks." replied the other man, looking at the child he cradled in his arms. The father of the child, placing the tray down, said: "Wow, fast asleep. I'm so sorry my wife also happened to fall asleep. I'm really, really sorry. You're a visitor, but I made you watch over my kid."
"Don't worry about it. She's probably tired. Birthing a kid and raising them is hard work." explained the visitor, picking up one of the three cups of tea after handing the sleeping baby over to his friend.
Yoriichi took a small sip, saying: "After I finish drinking this, I'll be on my way. I can't keep eating meals for free like this." "Oh, no! I owe you my life. If you weren't around back then, I, much less my children, wouldn't be here now." said the kind owner of the house they were currently at, being honest with his feelings.
Sighing softly, he then said: "Alright then. At least tell me your story for future generations." "No need." replied the man with long, black hair that faded to red. Sumiyoshi gasped lightly, saying: "But... It must be hard since you have no successor at hand. It may be impossible for me since I am a humble coal burner, but one day, someone will-"
"No need." replied Yoriichi, now looking at his friend. He continued: "Sumiyoshi, masters of their craft will always find their way to the same place. Even if the times have changed, even if they have taken different paths to that point, they will always go to the same place. You seem to see me as some kind of special human, but that's not true."
Sumiyoshi clearly didn't like what his friend had said. But before he could say anything against that, the visitor stood up, saying: "I could protect only a single thing that was precious to me. I couldn't achieve what I was supposed to achieve in life. I am a man of no worth."
The other man, tightening his grip around his son, said: "But that's-" He got cut off, however, as a third person joined their conversation. "Now, now. That sounds just like you, Nii-san." said a female voice, smiling at the two of them.
"So you didn't forget to come after all, Ichika." said the swordsman, looking at his younger sister. She scoffed, folding her arms over her chest, saying: "Of course not! Who do you take me for?" "You don't want me to answer that." he replied, causing her to puff her cheeks out.
She then put on another smile, looking at the other man, who was still holding onto his son. "Ah, where are my manners! It's so nice to see you again, Sumiyoshi." she said, bowing politely. The man returned her smile, saying: "I'm glad to see that you're doing great, Ichika-san. Is your husband, (L/N)-san, doing better?"
"Yes, he's a lot better now. His fever went down and he'll be back on his feet in two days, at most. Thank you for your concern." replied Ichika, her attention then shifting over to her older brother.
"Can you help me train again? I just can't seem to perfect the movements you showed me the last time you were around." she requested, a pleading look on her face. Contemplating his options for a moment, Yoriichi let out a soft sigh, saying: "Alright, I'll help." "Really? Thank you, Nii-san! You're the best!" called Ichika, her (e/c) eyes almost sparkling.

Opening his eyes, Tanjiro stared at the ceiling of the room he was currently in. 'A dream...? Where... am I?' he thought, trying to move his body. A vase was dropped to the ground, followed by a female voice asking: "...Are you okay? After the fight ended, you didn't regain consciousness for two whole months."
It was Kanao, approaching his weak form. "Oh... Really? I see..." trailed Tanjiro off, trying to grasp the situation. Another man, a member of the Kakushi entered the room, saying: "Uh, I brought some castella over. So please clear the way so I can put it down. If it looks spoiled, just go ahead and eat it."
His words were clearly meant for Kanao, yet Tanjiro answered: "Th...Thank you... so much." His voice was very weak, and he didn't look any better than he sounded. Just a few seconds later, the Kakushi began screaming.
"He woke up?! Why aren't you screaming?!" He turned to face Kanao, saying: "You're an utter airhead! You're supposed to call someone! He managed to regain consciousness, you dumbass! Everyone's worried sick about him. I don't care if you're my superior! Right now, at least!"
Kanao bowed, apologizing for not alerting anyone. The man then went to the door, calling: "Kiyo-chan, Sumi-chan, Naho-chan! Aoi-chan! Tanjiro's awake now!" Within mere seconds, three of the four girls were at his side, crying their eyes out.
Suddenly, two people rushed into the room. One of them was Aoi, holding onto a white cloth that she quickly discarded to the side, approaching the bed. "I'm so glad you're awake! You guys went in my place, so..." she said, the tears starting to fill her eyes.
The other person that got into the room, just staring at the heavily injured boy with her wide, (e/c) eyes. His eyes met hers, and a smile of relief appeared on her face. "Tanjiro..." she trailed off, stepping closer to him.
He returned her smile to the best of his ability, saying: "(Y/N)... Are you... okay?" She chuckled, gently placing one of her hands onto his cheek, answering: "I'm just fine. I only slept a week, and have been training with Uzui-san and Shinobu-san. But what about you? How are you feeling?"
"I see, that's great... I'm still... confused." he replied, causing her to chuckle, saying: "That's to be expected. After all, you were heavily injured and poisoned." "What about the others...?" he asked, causing her smile to soften. "I love how caring you are." she muttered out, a light, red blush appearing on her cheeks.
She then answered his question: "Well, as for Zenitsu, he's currently out on a mission. He was only out for one day. Uzui-san lost a hand and an eye, and he plans to retire from being a Hashira. And he's been teaching me some flamboyant ninja techniques."
A light chuckle escaped her lips before she continued. "And Inosuke... He was so badly injured that I thought he wouldn't make it. And the poison had spread too far to stop the bleeding." "Oh, okay. Then I must be hallucinating Inosuke clinging to the ceiling there..." trailed Tanjiro off, drawing everyone's attention towards the ceiling.
"Oh, no, he's very much real. And he's been craving fights." warned (Y/N), watching how Inosuke jumped onto Tanjiro's bed, saying: "I am the man who woke up seven days before you." "Oh... Good for you, Inosuke..." said Tanjiro, smiling weakly at the boar-masked man.
"Hehe, praise me more! And you're a feeble boy! You made me worry!" called Inosuke out, smoke puffing out of his mask. Aoi then began to bicker with Inosuke, drawing everyone's attention towards the two of them.
Placing her hand onto Tanjiro's, (Y/N) said: "Get some rest, okay? I love you, Tanjiro." He closed his eyes, a small smile on his face as he muttered out: "Me, too... I love... you, too, my (Y/N)..." She let out a quiet chuckle, placing a gentle kiss onto his forehead.
