3rd Person Pov:

The puppet went to strike, but the female Demon Slayer was faster. She managed to block its attack, with Tanjiro immediately cutting the strings above Inosuke. The puppet, however, got back to attacking almost immediately, going for the closest of the teenagers, which happened to be (Y/N).

"(Y/N), Inosuke! Let's fight this battle together! Let's use our brains and think of a way to defeat this Demon! Let's put our hearts and minds together!" called Tanjiro, rushing to help his partner. Inosuke yelled: "You bastard! Stop making me so annoyed! You're in my way all the time!"

"Then just stay back and watch!" yelled (Y/N), jumping onto Tanjiro's back. Inosuke stared at them with wide eyes, not getting what they were doing now. "(Y/N), jump!" yelled Tanjiro, ready to hit the ground afterwards.

(Y/N) did so, jumping high into the air, waiting for Tanjiro to strike first. He did so by using the Breath of Water, Third Style. The Beating Tide. That attack cleanly sliced off the puppet's legs, and (Y/N) took in a certain breath.

Tanjiro knew he didn't have to say anything to her. The two of them were training together for over two years, after all. They were quite a good team by now. "First Form, Water Surface Slash." she said, swinging her sword in just the right way.

The puppet's body fell down, signaling that they had made it. A small smile of victory spread across (Y/N)'s lips, that vanished just as quickly as she watched Inosuke hauling poor Tanjiro into the sky while yelling: "I can do whatever you can do, you bastards!"

"T-Tanjiro!" she called after him, stating to lightly hit the boar man. He was laughing, saying how he just helped out even more, which caused (Y/N) to sigh. "You send him to the Demon controlling these threads, right?" she asked. Inosuke nodded, pointing at himself with both of his thumbs, saying: "I did! I'm awesome, right?!" (Y/N) simply nodded, looking up at the sky where her partner just disappeared. Then, the boar-masked man lifted her up, flinging her in the air, too, yelling: "There ya go!"

The female Demon was still sitting on her rock, her grey eyes wide. "It's defeated... It's defeated!" she said to herself, not moving an inch. "That puppet was the fastest and strongest one...! This is all because Rui came by and threatened me! Which is why I panicked. I panicked-"

It was then that she noticed the male teenager flying towards her. She wanted to do something, to prevent him from killing her. But, seeing this as her only way out of her misery, she reached her arms out towards him, accepting, no, begging for her defeat.

Tanjiro, noticing the look on the Demon's face, decided to go with the most painless attack he knew. Fifth Form: Blessed Rain After the Drought. With that technique, he decapitated the beautiful Demon, leaving her to think that this was such a peaceful way to die.

Memories of her life spend as a Demon flashed through her mind. Many moments where she got hurt badly for simply not knowing something. But it was finally over. Her last few seconds alive were spend looking at Tanjiro's calm, gentle eyes. She knew she had to help him, for he had saved her of this misery.

So, she warned: "There is a member of the twelve Kizuki here! Be careful!" Tanjiro nodded at the woman, grateful for that fatal information. And just like that, she died, having finally found her piece and quiet that she desperately wanted. While running back to his friends, Tanjiro thought about the twelve Kizuki. If this was true, then he'd need some of the Demon's blood for Nezuko.

"Did you defeat her?!" asked Inosuke, his body covered in injuries. "I did. Inosuke, are you alright?" asked Tanjiro, eyeing his friend. "Can you not think about me with such meticulousness?! Ya listening? You understand? I can do anything you can do! My head is going to be way tougher than yours in just a little bit! And also-"

It was now that Tanjiro noticed that someone was missing. He asked: "Where's (Y/N)?" Inosuke stopped his speech, posing a little, answering: "I threw her towards another Demon!" Tanjiro's eyes widened as he asked: "What?! Where is she?!" Inosuke, still thinking high and mighty of himself, said: "Just there." while pointing behind him.

Tanjiro immediately started running towards her, the worry as clear as day on his face. Inosuke followed, still talking about how strong and cool he was for doing that all by himself, to which Tanjiro said nothing. They weren't running for long as they heard her voice calling out to them.

They both stopped, looking over the place. But they couldn't spot her. "Tanjiro, Inosuke, I'm right here!" she yelled, getting more desperate. Tanjiro furrowed his brows, asking: "Where?" A light sigh was heard, followed by her sword suddenly landing next to the two boys.

They immediately looked up, watching as (Y/N) waved at them, saying: "I defeated the Demon, but it somehow got me stuck here." with an awkward smile. Tanjiro grinned, seeing that his dear (Y/N) was alright. He opened his arms, saying: "I'll catch you!" She nodded, jumping down from the tree. Tanjiro caught her, as he had said, looking her over. "Tanjiro, I'm fine. Something bit me, but that's all." she reassured, smiling at him.

He accepted that, and the three of them started to head towards the next Demon. On their way, they heard something that sounded an awful lot like thunder. Inosuke and Tanjiro were utterly confused, while (Y/N) grinned, saying: "I bet that's Zenitsu. He's amazingly strong." "Huh?! Monitsu being strong?!" yelled Inosuke, raising his hands in the air.

Tanjiro said: "I think I'll try going to the other side." Inosuke, growing annoyed by everything happening, said: "You can do what you like!" "Inosuke, you should go down. Down the mountain." At that, Inosuke paused for a second, staring at Tanjiro.

(Y/N) sighed, suddenly noticing something, rather, someone. She met eyes with the female Demon, and none of them knew how two react. "Why?!" yelled Inosuke at Tanjiro, making the boy say: "No, you're seriously hurt." "I am not hurt!" It was now that (Y/N) finally said something: "L-Look! A Demon!"

The Demon girl quickly ran away, with Inosuke yelling: "Oh! I'm gonna chop you up! Hold it, Demon!" The Demon called: "Father!" Suddenly, a tall Demon had appeared, jumping in front of Inosuke. Instead of having a normal face, the Father Demon had the face of a spider, making his appearance at least a thousand times scarier. "Get away from my family!" it yelled, punching the ground once, cracking it up in the process.
