~chapter thirty-three~

3rd Person Pov:

Seeing that these two children had successfully disarmed and thrown a fellow Pillar to the ground, the other Pillars were shocked. "Pff- I'm so sorry." apologized the Love Pillar, Mitsuri Kanroji, after having to laugh at the scene that they had just watched.

Iguro stared at the children, impressed that they managed that. (Y/N) quickly tossed the sword to the side, not wanting the Pillars to think that she's going to attack any of them. She then stood in front of Nezuko's box protectively, still glaring at the white haired Pillar.

Tanjiro yelled: "If you can't tell the good Demons from the bad ones, you should quit being a Pillar!" "Damn you two... I'll rip you to shreds!" yelled the Wind Pillar, attempting to attack the young couple.

"Oyakata-sama is here!" announced a smaller girl with white hair, stopping everyone from moving. A man with a curse mark covering the upper half of his face. He smiled gently at everyone there, saying: "So you have come, my dear swordsmen."

(Y/N) Pov:

"Good morning everybody. We have some really nice weather today. Is the sky blue?" asked the man, being guided by two children. "Our members have gathered for the 'Pillar meeting' that we hold once every six months as per usual. I find this pleasurable."

I tilted my head a bit, not quite sure what to do. Suddenly, that white haired Pillar pushed Tanjiro to the ground. I was about to help him, but a hand on my head stopped me from that.

"(Y/N), bow down." said Onii-chan, pushing me down a bit. I obliged, bowing down to that man that had just appeared. I then glanced to the side, noticing that all of the Pillars are bowing to him.

So he's the head of the Demon Slayer Corps? "We find it most honorable to be in your presence, Oyakata-sama. We eagerly pray for much happiness upon you." said the crazy Pillar. So polite...

"Thank you, Sanemi." said the man who, I assume, is Oyakata-sama. That Sanemi continued: "Let me humbly say that there are two soldiers present in the Pillar meeting by the names of Tanjiro Kamado and (Y/N) (L/N) who had brought a Demon with them. I would like to explain the scenario. So will you allow me?"

"I see. I'm sorry that they surprised you all. I have given my approval for Tanjiro, (Y/N), and Nezuko. So I want everyone here to accept them." explained Oyakata-sama. My eyes widened slightly as the Pillars gasped.

We're getting off the hook? But how? "Ah, even though Oyakata-sama wishes us to do so, I am reluctant to give consent." said the crying one. The Pillar with the jewelry added: "I also flamboyantly oppose this. I can never accept a Demon Slayer who brings Demons along."

The pink haired one said: "I will abide with all your accordances, Oyakata-sama." One that hasn't spoken before, the Pillar with long, black hair that fades into light blue, said: "Either way's fine for me. I'll just forget right away."

The butterfly-lady and Onii-chan kept silent, while the one with the snake said: "Don't trust them, don't trust them. We all hate Demons to begin with." "I respect you from deep within, but I can't understand your thinking. I completely oppose this!" called the one with yellow-red hair.

And that Sanemi said: "We are the Demon Slayers who annihilate all Demons. I wish to punish all Kamado, (L/N), and Tomioka." I send him another glare. "Now the letter." said Oyakata-sama, and one of the white haired girls started reading a letter out loud.

"We received this letter from the former Pillar, Sakonji Urokodaki-sama. I will read an extract from it. 'Please forgive Tanjiro and (Y/N) for being with a Demon. Nezuko has a tenacious spirit and she retains some human reasoning. Even when she's starving, she doesn't eat humans. And she has stayed that way for more than two years.'"

I blinked a few times. Sensei... You're the best! "'You may find this sudden and difficult to believe, but this is the unmistaken truth. If by any chance Nezuko ever attacks someone, Tanjiro Kamado, (Y/N) (L/N), as well as  Sakonji Urokodaki and Giyuu Tomioka will commit seppuku as an apology.'" she finished.

No way... Even Onii-chan? I mean, he did send them to us, but... "What should I say if they're gonna kill themselves. If they want to die, they can just die and rot away. There is no guarantee in all this." said Sanemi, gritting his teeth.

The yellow-red haired one said: "Shinazugawa is correct here! If she kills and eats someone, nothing can be undone! The people who got killed will never come back!" "That is very true. They can't guarantee or prove that she won't attack people. But you can't prove she'll attack someone either." noted Oyakata-sama.

"The truth is that Nezuko has been living without eating people for more than two years. And because of her, four people are putting their lives on the line. And to deny this, the deniers have to present something more than what is here." he explained. "Besides, they have come into contact with Kibutsuji."

3rd Person Pov:

The Pillars gasped, throwing questions at the young Demon Slayers, some more demanding than others. Tomioka just stared at his little sister, unsure of what to think of that. The other Pillars stopped talking as soon as Oyakata-sama had put a finger to his lips.

As it was quiet enough, he said: "You see, Kibutsuji had come after them, and they shook his pursuer loose. The reason for this may simply be just to close some loose ends, but for the first time, I don't want to let go of the tail that Kibutsuji has showed us."

Everyone was silent, listening closely to what he had to say. "And this probably goes for Nezuko as well. I believe something unexpected has happened for Kibutsuji. Do you understand?"

Shinazugawa grit his teeth, saying: "I do not understand, Oyakata-sama. We can let humans live, but Demons must not. I cannot consent." With that, he grabbed his sword from the side, cutting his own arm, drawing quite a bit of blood.

He laughed a bit, saying: "Oyakata-sama, I will present to you the ugliness of what we call Demons!" "Sanemi..." "Hey, Demon! It's time to eat! Sink your teeth on this!" He then shoved (Y/N) to the side, so that he could pour his blood onto the box that Nezuko is still inside.

"Shinazugawa, you can't do it in the sunlight. The Demon won't come out unless you go to the shade." noted Iguro. "Oyakata-sama, forgive my rudeness." said Shinazugawa, suddenly disappearing, then reappearing in the shaded room behind Oyakata-sama.

"Nezuko!" yelled Tanjiro, about to rush to her. But the Serpent Pillar finally jumped down from the tree, trapping the poor boy by pushing him to the ground, making it literally impossible for him to breathe.
