3rd Person Pov:
"Hello there. I will guide you to the village since Oyakata-sama gave his permission." spoke a female Kakushi, most of her face covered. Only her eyes were visible. Tanjiro and (Y/N) bowed down to her, with Tanjiro saying: "Very nice to meet you! My name is Tanjiro Kamado. I hope we can get along." "I'm (Y/N) (L/N), nice to meet you." said (Y/N), smiling kindly at the woman.
She nodded lightly, saying: "I cannot give you my name since I am serving as your guide. But nice to meet you two." "Okay, here." said the second Kakushi member. It was a tall man, holding out some clothes to the two Demon Slayers.
Slightly confused, Tanjiro asked: "What are these?" "Blindfolds and earplugs." answered the unnamed female. The man nodded, adding: "The village's hidden, so we'll be carrying you guys there."
"Really? Won't it be damaging your backs?" asked (Y/N), looking at the two Kakushi with slight worry. The man shook his head, saying: "Not at all. We've been trained to carry out tasks such as these." "I see." she replied, taking the cloth from him.
The young couple was ready to leave the Butterfly Estate and head towards the Swordsmith village. The male Kakushi lifted Tanjiro onto his back, saying: "Alright, let's get going." His partner, the female Kakushi, nodded, easily placing (Y/N) onto her back. "I'm ready."
In order to protect the village from Demon attacks, its whereabouts is kept a secret. So naturally, even these two Kakushi don't know where it is either. Every time they travel a set distance, the Demon Slayers will get passed to the next two Kakushi.
On top of that, both the paths and the Kakushi frequently get changed. As the Kakushi make their way to the next one, they are being guided by crows. But even the crows frequently get swapped out. And apparently, the mansion where Oyakata-sama lives is disguised by even more complicated means.
Time skip: at the village
(Y/N) Pov:
"Thank you very much." I said to the Kakushi, blinking my eyes a few times in order to get used to the bright light. I then began to look around, amazed by the village. "These buildings look like they're out of a drawing! So pretty!" I said, looking over at Tanjiro.
He nodded, saying: "They're really amazing! Oh, this smell... There's a hot spring nearby!" "Yeah, there's one." said one of the two Kakushi that brought us here. The other said: "You'll see a large house when you turn left there. Make sure to greet them first and foremost." "Okay!" we both said, causing me to chuckle.
"Well, we'll be taking our leave now." "Be careful." said the Kakushi, starting to walk away. "Thank you so much!" said Tanjiro, bowing respectfully as they left. Shortly after that, we went into the building we were supposed to go to.
"Hello there. I am the chief of this village, Tecchikawahara Tecchin. Very nice to meet you. I may be the smallest in this village, but I am also the best at my craft. Now, bow your head so low it touches the mat." said the smaller, old man.
We immediately did so, both stating our names and how honoured we were to meet him. He chuckled, saying: "What good children. Now come over here and take some dough cakes." "Dough cakes?" I asked, looking at the bowl he was holding.
"Thank you so much!" Tanjiro and I said, gladly taking the bowl and starting to eat. The man, Tecchin-san, said: "You've come to meet Hotaru, right?" I nodded, saying: "Yes, Hotaru Haganezuka. He said he didn't have any swords for us, and, well, we need swords."
Tecchin-san nodded, saying: "I see. He's always been like this ever since he was a child. He always throws tantrums right away, then he goes off somewhere. Well, Hotaru has gone missing right now. We're doing our best to look for him, so please be patient. Sorry about that."
I quickly said: "Oh, no need to apologize! We were the ones who broke and lost our swords, so it's our fault." "No. You're wrong." said Tecchin-san, and I felt his eyes underneath his mask darkening.
He continued: "It's his fault for creating a sword that could actually break." At that, I paused, glancing over at Tanjiro. Our swords were totally fine. Mine even managed to hold out the constant switching of Breathing Techniques.
One of the two men sitting behind Tecchin-san said: "As soon as we find him, we'll seize him and bring him over. So don't worry about anything." "Please don't be so violent..." trailed Tanjiro off, nervously looking over at me, then back at the three men.
Tecchin-san said: "Kamado, I heard your body still hasn't recovered enough to be sent out into the field. And (L/N), forging a sword for someone of your bloodline surely is one of the highest honours for us. So if Hotaru doesn't forge your swords by the time you're both ready to fight again, we'll have someone else do it."
What? But I loved that sword! It was purely my fault for losing it while battling Upper Moon Six, so Haganezuka-san shouldn't be the one paying the price. "The hot spring in our village does wonders for the body. So please, spend some time there." said Tecchin, already waving goodbye to us.
We left the building, starting to head towards the hot spring, our hands intertwined with each other. While we were walking, I said: "Hey, Tanjiro?" "Hm?" he hummed, indicating that he was listening.
I released a quiet sigh, asking: "What do you think? About what Tecchin-san said, I mean." He thought for a moment, then said: "I think they're being too harsh on Haganezuka-san. Our swords were really amazing." "I think so, too." I admitted, looking up ahead.
My eyes widened slightly as I pointed forwards, asking: "Is that... the Love Hashira?" "What?" asked Tanjiro, looking to where I was pointing. Just a few seconds later, the pink haired woman stopped in front of us.
She was close to tears, saying: "Ah! It's (Y/N)-chan and Tanjiro-kun!" Slightly confused, I asked: "Kanroji-san, is everything alright?" She shook her head, throwing her arms around me to give me a bone-crushing hug.
"No, it's not! Listen, listen! I got ignored! I greeted him and he ignored me!" she said, her voice rather loud. "Wh-Who did?" I asked, not sure why she was so upset about this. She answered: "I don't know! I asked him his name, and he ignored me! Isn't that just cruel? I'm a Hashira!"
She let out a bunch of wails, then added: "Now all that good energy I got from coming out of the spring is completely gone!" "Kanroji-san, please calm down. I'm sure he mistook you for someone else." I said, trying to lift her mood.
"Really? You think it was a misunderstanding?" she asked carefully, her light green eyes looking down at me. I nodded, a sweet smile on my lips. "Of course! How could anyone not greet someone as amazing as you?"
She hugged me tighter for a few seconds, knocking the breath right out of my lungs. "Aw, thank you, (Y/N)-chan! You really are amazing and cute!" she said, letting go of me again. "Oh, right. Dinner should be ready soon. I'll go on ahead. Please join me later on, you two." she stated, starting to walk off, waving at us, which we returned.
She's so cheerful, yet so much to handle... "(Y/N), are you okay?" asked Tanjiro, looking at me with worry. I nodded, saying: "Yeah, I am. Thank you. But I really want to go into the hot spring now." "Let's get going, then." he said with a smile, causing me to smile, too.
