3rd Person Pov:

Muichiro's eyes went up to the Water Hashira, wanting to thank him for his help. But before he could speak up, he noticed that Giyuu was carrying someone barely conscious. "Is that... (Y/N)?"

Giyuu, instead of answering, said: "I don't have much time to save her. Can you fight?" Nodding, Muichiro got up, saying: "Of course I can fight." Lifting his sword up off the ground, he added: "Go. I can handle this Demon on my own. And make sure to safe her. If you don't, I'll fight you personally." "Thank you." replied Giyuu, not hesitating to continue his way, holding onto his sister tightly.

He needed to get into the village as quickly as possible in order for a doctor or some of that sort to treat his little sister until Shinobu was there. He had send his crow to inform her that she should drop everything and come.

If anything, his sister was the one person he couldn't lose. Not after everything he went through. If (Y/N) were to die, he would lose the rest of his sanity and finally go insane, maybe even ending his own life. It was like she was the last string keeping him from falling.

And right now, that string was about to tear. Barely able to control his emotions, Giyuu couldn't help but to think about the times he spend together with her, before and after Sabito's death. Even now, he was sure that he never deserved such a bright, shining individual as a younger sister.

She means everything to him. Without her, he never would have become stronger. Without her, he never would have overcome his weaknesses and improved his swordsmanship. Without her, he never would have gotten strong enough to hold the title of a Hashira.

Giyuu Pov:

Trying to catch my breath, I went to dodge one of Urokodaki-Sensei's attacks, failing miserably. He hit me sqaure in my face, and I was thrown back, landing not so gracefully. Breathing heavily, I quickly got up, a bit wobbly on my feet.

"Again." I demanded, taking my fighting stance, ready to try to master the Water Breathing once and for all. Sighing lightly, Urokodaki-Sensei said: "We're done for today. Please don't overwork yourself, Giyuu. Nothing good will come from that."

A bit taken back, I said: "But I... But I have to grow stronger. I'm still way too weak to be calling myself a part of the Corpse. I have to-" "Sensei, Onii-chan, look!" called a sweet, rather high voice out to us, cutting me off.

We turned our heads to look at (Y/N), who was smiling brightly, just like she always did. She held a wooden sword in her hands, walking up to us. With a grin, she said: "I think I can finally use the first form now."

"You're already training to become a Demon Slayer?" I asked, looking at her, then at Urokodaki-Sensei. She nodded, proudly saying: "Of course I am! I want to become just like you when I get older, so I have to start early."

Completely caught off guard, I tried to say something, only able to stutter incoherent things. Sensei laughed, saying: "While you were gone, she decided to start her training early." I looked at him with a questioning gaze, wondering why he decided to teach her the breathing technique at such a young age.

"Anyways, look! I'll show you my progress now." she announced, stepping a bit away from us. She took in a deep breath, then released the First Form, Water Surface Slash. She did it perfectly, except that her footing was slightly off. And so, she tripped, managing to hit her own head with her sword.

"Ouch... This always happens." she said, pouting. I couldn't help but to chuckle, walking up to her. I offered her my hand, which she accepted. Pulling her up onto her feet, I said: "You did really well, (Y/N). But you should keep your feet further apart in order to gain more balance."

She looked up at me with wide eyes, asking: "Is that what I'm doing wrong?" I nodded, placing a hand onto her head, answering: "Yep. You did everything else really well." "You think so? Thank you!"

She then thought for a moment, saying: "Okay, I think I can help you out, too." Confused, I asked: "What? You can help me?" "Mhm. You see, dad used to train breathing techniques a lot when he was still alive, and I sometimes snuck out to watch. He was very skilled, so I might be able to correct your movements a little." she suggested, smiling at me.

"That would be great. Thank you, (Y/N)." I said, placing my hand onto her head, ruffling through her hair. She giggled, saying: "I love helping out, so I don't mind at all." She really is like a shooting star. Spreading hope and happiness wherever she goes.

But now I get it. Sensei is training her already because she's not just anyone. The way she moves her sword, even if it's just a wooden one, is much more precise and skilled than most of the adult Demon Slayers I've seen up until now. I bet that's thanks to her observing her father when he would train.

Taking my fighting stance, I said: "I'm ready." Sensei nodded, going to attack me, while I blocked, dodged, and occasionally got hit. And at the end of the fight, which lasted mere minutes, I was once again sitting on the ground, trying to catch my breath.

Snapping her fingers, (Y/N) said: "I think I got it. You're trying too hard to focus on causing damage. You should relax more and concentrate on smoothing out your movements. It's really important with the Water Breathing techniques, you know."

Chuckling, Urokodaki-sensei said: "You put it all together there, (Y/N). Good work." She cheered as I asked: "Wait, you knew? Why didn't you tell me how to improve?" He looked over at (Y/N), who was now back to training with her wooden sword.

He answered: "In order to become strong, you have to gain ambitions. Your reasoning to becoming strong was just to become strong. But that's not going to be enough motivation." He looked back at me, continuing his little speech.

"You have to find something that motivates you more than anything. Something that's worth fighting and possibly dying for. Like saving or protecting something or someone." he finished, causing me to close my eyes for a moment, thinking.

"I think I get it now. Thank you, Urokodaki-Sensei. I have a new motivation now." I said, picking up my sword from the ground, then dusting myself off. We began walking back inside, with him asking: "If I may ask, what ambition did you choose?"

Smiling subtly, I answered: "I already lost so many people close to me. That's why I swore to myself to protect my little sister at all costs. Even if it ends up killing me. And for her sake, I'll grow stronger."

(Y/N), in order to keep you safe, I'll even become as strong as a Hashira!
