(Y/N)

I groaned, waking up to a soft humming and bright lights flickering across my face. I wanted to stay asleep, the soothing hands of someone smoothing out my (h/c) hair lulling me back into a dreamless state. I turned my head away from the lights shining through my eye lids and towards something firm yet soft.

A soft chuckle halted the humming and the hands stopped. "Are you finally awake?"

I waited for a moment but they showed no signs of believing my false sleeping. "No."

"Wow. A sleeping person just responded to me. How cool."

I rolled my eyes, "Shut up."

"Wow, rude. You're the one lying in my arms and snuggling into my chest and you have the guts to tell me to shut up? What the fuck, man?"

My eyes darted open and I pulled away from Tommy. "Sorry."

He let out a breathy laugh, "I wasn't being serious... If you're still tired you can rest some more. I just figured you might want to wake up by now."

I blinked. "What time is it?"

"A little past noon."

I blushed, showing interesting my fiddling thumbs in embarrassment. "Sorry. I hope I didn't keep you from doing anything."

"Nah, you're good. What else would I be doing anyway? Cuddling Aster and Steve? Don't tell the animals I said this but I'd much rather hold you in my arms than them."

Heat rushed up my neck and into my cheeks, most likely covering the bridge of my nose as well. "Why is that, hm?"

"I-" He laughed but I could've sworn his cheeks had turned pink for a second. "You're less slobbery than them. A bit drooly in your sleep, though."

"Hey! Not true!" I brought up my hand, wiping the back of it against my lips just in case. "You're mean."

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Am not!"

"You know what? I'm grown enough not to fight like a child-"

Tommy stuck his tongue out at me, feigning anger. "You're dumb," he muttered with a lisp, crossing his arms and hunching over himself childishly.

I laughed at this, obviously the reaction he was shooting for, and clutched my stomach when it cramped from my laughter. Why it was so funny? I'm not sure.

A knock interrupted us and my cackling was quieted into giggles.

"Tommy? Is (Y/N) awake now? Techno made lunch and he don't want to heat it up until you two are ready to eat."

"Oh, we'll be right down. Thanks, Phil."

A sigh was heard as his footsteps moved away.

"Oh well," the blonde stood, extending a hand towards me. "Let's go down stairs."

I smiled, reaching up and taking his hand. "Yeah." He helped pull me up.

I stood, feeling pain jolt up my legs. I winced slightly.

"You okay?"

"Yeah," I glanced down in confusion. The sweat pants I had changed into to sleep were long on me and fell down enough to cover my heels. No blood was visible on the fabric so I couldn't be physically injured. "My leg fell asleep is all."
