I didn’t looked at once to Riley's face once we entered into the helicopter. He is constantly apologizing but I ain't paying a heed.

Why I need to learn about his past from some other person and not him always? Why?

"Alis, she means nothing to me. Hell, I didn’t even loved her"
"I don't care what she means to you but you could tell her about me. I had the right to know" I howled
"You really mean I would tell you about someone whom I don't properly recall?"
"No. But I mean to tell you about your past that I get to know from others"
"You know my everything"
"Yeah. I thought too" I scoffed.

The rest journey went in silence. We got down and set ourselves in car. I was gazing the view when Riley said
"Oliver, drive to office first. Then drop Alaska home"

I decided to go the kitchen rather than going his home. And I know he will perplex seeing me getting down from the car with him. As I guessed, he raised his eye brows seeing me getting down
"What?" I asked
"No work today. Go home"
"You are working too"

I walked fast saying this. I know it’s late but I just don't wanna go house now. I don't know why.

Kylie gave me a smile noticing my presence
"Had a nice holiday?" her question forced Latent, Katie, Raven and Brezo to turn around.

They all gave me a heartily welcome except Raven.
"Yeah nice" I answered honestly
"You are 2 days early" Brezo said
"I was just missing you all" I didn’t lied either. I used to miss my kitchen work in Australia
"So nice of you. Guess what you missed" Latent said
"What?"
"Brezo and Ellie got married!" Latent cheered
"Oh my God! That's so amazing. Congratulations" I watched Brezo turning red.
"It happened suddenly" Ellie answered from behind. I hadn’t noticed her.

I gave her a warm hug. She looks so changed. She looks so bride.
"Yeah it happened fast but it was the best decision of my life" Brezo kissed Ellie and Ellie's cheek turned more red.

My eyes are mesmerized by seeing their connection. I too want a marriage, wear a ring, proudly walking in the aisle with my bridesmaid.

A tiniest part of my brain struggled to say 'Did you ever asked what Riley wants'. I need to ask him if he wants a marriage. I will talk to him tonight about this.

I worked a little today but I was happy. They all had so fun. And I noticed the eye contacts between Brezo and Ellie after several seconds. Kylie says it has been hell working with Raven. And I won't surely blame her for this true statement. Raven is surely a pain in ass!

I saw Riley awaiting downstairs for my arrival. I was so used to see Stacy waiting for me that I perplexed for a moment by seeing Riley.

We didn’t talked much in the car but my heart became soft so I couldn’t hold anymore grudge.

I took a long shower after coming home and came out with in my night pajamas. Riley is so busy in his laptop that he failed to notice me. I went and sat beside
"Riley"
"Yes"

I took a deep breathe and asked
"Do you like marriage?"
"Of course, I do" he said while focusing on his laptop.
"Do you wanna marry?" I asked and he shifted his eyes from laptop to me
"What's bothering you Alaska?" he asked in a cold voice.

I hate how he gets to know about my mood.

"I was curious about it"
"Yes. I wanna marry. Not now. But someday surely" he again focused on his laptop

It gave me a lot of relief. I don't know whether he will marry me or not but as long as I am his girlfriend, this news should buy joy for me as I am his present.

I watched carefully how his hands are moving against the keyboard and how he is untired of his work. Maybe he should stop, and I can give his hand some hand by pressing it. Maybe he will be pleased by my work and gave me a reward and maybe as my reward I will have his hand in my.....

A loud manly voice called out
"Alaska" and I instantly came back from my imagination world
"Yes"
"I have called you many times. Let's go and have dinner"

He stood up and lend his hands to take mine
"Shall we queen?"
"Yes" I grinned
"After you" he bowed and gave me a salute.

We met Stem and Stacy on the dinner table. Stem seems quite cheerful. Stacy somehow seems lost and sad but still managing to smile. The women Bertha served us Fritters and I digged my fork into it. Hungry badly I am!

Stem said in an discussion with Riley
"Lay told to inform you she got stuff you kept"

Who's Lay? Right. Ray, who was eying my boy!

"Good" Riley said while chewing a lettuce
"We visited Dad today" Stem said while Stacy focused on her plate
"Did you?" Riley asked
"Yes. But he scold me" Stem said with a dark look
"Why?" I asked
"Because I told him that I love him. He also called me..."

I gasped as he said Emmy scold him for saying that Stem loves him. It's mean! But the worst is Stem can't recall what the word is. He insisted
"Mom, what's that called?"
"It's a bad word dear. Don’t speak it" Stacy said
"But Dad said it"
"He is being a bad boy. We will punish him later. Now go and sleep. Its late"
"But I want to stay here. I wanna tell them what Dad called me. It's a difficult word" Stem tried to recall
"Stem go to your room. Change your dress and get back to sleep" I can sense the orders in her voice.
"You can't-" Stem tried to protest
"Stem follow what your mom said" Stacy yelled so loudly that it trembled the little heart of Stem and he began crying. He sniffled
"Nobody loves me. Dad scolds me and now you too. I won't come home in holiday" he ran upstairs saying this.

We watched the frustrated Stacy that covered her face with her hands. Me and Riley dared not to make a sound. She said after a long silence
"Maybe, I should apologize Stem"
"What did Emmy called him?" Riley asked.

I watched Stacy's eyes turned tearful. She said sobbing
"He called my son, son of a bitch"

I must puke all the fritters that I had in my stomach. Stem is Emmy's child. How can he called something like that? I felt relief for Stem forgetting the word. Even Riley seems awestruck

"He didn’t insulted me. He insulted my son and it's something Stem will remember when he will grow up. I can't anymore lead my life for this sick psycho man, who intends to hurt his family just for getting away with them" Stacy broke down completely
"You don't wanna stay with Emmy anymore?" I asked
"No. I made up my mind. I will move on in life" Stacy wiped her tears with hands and looked beyond me with her red eyes and that made Riley more vulnerable.

He pleaded
"Give him another chance Stacy. We both knows how he loves us but he is insecure about his health"
"You know how much I awaited. I undergone so much hardship and raised my hope high. He never cared for my Stem. If he did, he couldn’t ever have done this"
"I'm gonna talk to him about this tomorrow when I will pick him from hospital"
"And I will make sure that Stem won't linger around Emmy. He needs to know his father died 4 years ago"
"Stacy!" we both screamed at the top of our voice but Stacy had moved to stairs without hearing us.

I looked at the plate that had unfinished food. Emmy shouldn’t have abused Stem. I can't imagine the position of Stacy. She was so strong for Emmy. Ready to embrace himself when he gets to realize his fault. But Stacy already made her mind. That means, she will be willing to leave this family and house forever. Hell! I don't want that. I have grown to be so fond of her.
