Neither you nor me

Part 54

I woke up early and found myself in an empty bed. Why this man has to be so early bird? Unlike the youngsters you see today.

I got ready with a nice shower. Apparently the first thing that I noticed after going into the hall is Mr Hyde is standing beside the staircase. I walked into the stairs and said
"You can relax"
"Thanks" he made himself not so comfortable.

I ignored him and walked to the couch. If I wanna find him, I won't find a better place in the morning. Just I guessed, he is sitting in the couch with coffee in his hand. But he isn't alone. Ray is with him.

A stroke of jealousy. Why is she here? Early in the morning? I recalled how she said she admires her. Look at her!

She is sitting like a barbie doll in front of Riley. Her cheeks have already turned red, or is it my imagination? They noticed me and Riley greeted
"Good morning" it is a small decent gesture which makes the morning cute.
"Good morning" I said too.
"Do you live here?" Ray asked
"Yes. I do" I said

I sat at the thighs of Riley to make Ray see who the real owner of him. I can see Riley is bold but I know he is smiling at my childish plays. Whereas Ray's face turned to the possible sort of misery. She deserved that!

I gave Riley a cheek kiss for further more. Riley bounded me with his hands.
"How's Stem?" I asked
"Good" she replied. But I can see she has no will to speak more.
"What makes you come here so early in the morning leaving our kid there?" I asked fiercely
"Sir called me" she answered
"Did you?" I whispered to Riley and he nodded.

"Is that why you ordered those?" Ray asked
"What are you talking about?" I asked in confusion
"You don't need to know them. And Ray, yes. I ordered those for this" he said proudly.

What did he ordered?

She stood suddenly and I can see her eyes went red. Tears are dropping from my eyes. She said
"I...thought those.....are for....me" she whimpered
Riley kept me aside and stood too.
"I think we have a misunderstanding" Riley said
"No....I had....a...misunderstanding....and I'm sorry" she started walking towards the door.

And Riley started to walk behind him but I caught him
"You don't need to go after her" I muttered
"I need to clear misunderstandings between us. Misunderstandings are vital. And she takes care of Stem. I don't want anything bad for God's sake. Marshall will take this advantage and I can't let it happen" he said in a fast track and went after Ray.

I should be mature to understand enough that he wants everything to be crystal clear between them but a part of me is possessive too.

I took a long shower as I'm angry. Firstly, I don't know what he ordered and secondly, I'm more angry that Riley went after her. She is not his girlfriend.

I went outside and found Riley. I thought I will ignore him but curiosity is a curse
"Everything's alright between you and her?"
"Yes. Absolutely fine" he grinned
"Good" I walked towards the dresser
"Get ready. I'm gonna take you somewhere" Riley said
"Where?" I asked
"That's surprise" he grinned more
"I hate surprises" I said while combing my hairs
"I think as a girl, that's unlikely to hate it" he said

In a hour, I'm ready in my jeans and jackets. It's not so cold today. Moderate temperature but the breeze is pathetic. Thank God, the ice has started to melt.

Neither Mr Hyde nor Oliver accompanied today. Riley is driving country side in his black Lamborghini. The trees, mountains, way all seems to go backward like your present turns into past before you realize it's present.

"What was she talking about? What did you ordered?" I asked
"I will tell you in the mean time" he said like always
"Your right time hardly comes" I protested
"This time, it's soon. You just have to wait a lil" he grinned
