A week after being home from France, I decided to join MarCo LTD, a multi-industry company owned by my uncle Marco Luis Lucas, brother of my dad.
I was sitting in my chair inside my office as the founder and CEO of Parfum Français Ph. I have just adjourned the meeting with the Board. Belle Perfumes (one of the most popular and most successful perfume brands in the country for the last decade) is officially mine now. It will be another line under PF Ph, which will target the younger consumers (teenagers and students) since the perfumes under Belle will be sold in the market at a cheaper price.
I checked my phone and I saw that Jane had been calling me and I was unable to answer because I was in the meeting. I remembered that I haven't told her yet about what happened to me and Kyle two nights ago so I called her.
"Allo, Jane!"
"King! I thought hindi na kita makakausap." she said. "Nakakatampo ka ha, nakasama mo lang siya, hindi mo na ako naalala."
"What's with the drama?" I asked. "That's not true, Jane. He's with me until late afternoon yesterday. Then, I went home and I fell asleep. Kaya hindi na kita natawagan."
"Wow! Talagang nilubos niyo ha? Why did you sleep early? Pagod much?"
"You have no idea."
"Then give me an idea."
"What do you want to know?" I asked. I can't suppress the smile on my face.
"What happened?"
"You sure know WHAT happened."
"OK. Let me rephrase that. How was it?"
"Well, one word. Heavenly."
Jane screamed. "Oh my god, King. Ikaw na! Congratulations. You're a certified complete man now."
I laughed. "Thank you, Jane. If not for you and your friends, it won't be possible."
"Actually, naiinggit nga sila Nicole at Rhod sa'yo pag-alis niyo. Andami na daw nilang natikmang lalaki pero never pa yung kasing pogi ng naitake out mo. At the same time, hindi pa rin sila makapaniwala that someone like you was actually looking for a bitch to pay for sex. Eh ang gwapo gwapo mo raw."
"Hmmm. Hindi naman. They're just overrating me." I said.
"Naku, King. Kahit ako ang tanungin mo, wala sa hitsura mo na virgin ka and innocent. Para bang kung titignan ka isa kang playboy slash fuckboy. Ganun."
I laughed. "You're crazy, Jane."
She laughed too. "Pero pwera biro. Pareho kayong gwapo nung lalaki. Pwede nga kayong pagkamalang magjowa."
I blushed at what Jane said. How I wish Kyle was really my boyfriend.
"You're right. He's so gorgeous."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. He's the best there is."
"Oh? How can you do the comparisons eh wala namang iba?"
"Yeah, but I just know. But Jane,"
"Oh, what?"
"He's passive. I mean, are they really supposed to be like that?"
"Like what? What do you mean?"
"He did not respond much while we were doing it. And he did not allow me to kiss him."
"Oh? Even if the price was right?"
"Yeah. Even if the price was right."
"That's sad. Hindi ka pala fully satisfied. Well, anyway, you can try other boys. Hindi naman siguro lahat, ganoon kasuplado."
