Chapter 2 : ALTA

"Biyang, naka set na on Thursday first shoot mo with Seven. Dapat daw nasa venue na tayo by 8AM then head straight to Empire for your pasarela training", my PA Erik reminded me while I was having eggs, yogurt and a medley of tropical fruits for breakfast.

"Thank you, te Erik" I grinned before mouthing him an air kiss.

Having Erik by my side almost 24/7 is a blessing. He never fails to remind me about my engagements that were booked by the Miss Universe Philippines Organization.

Being the first Miss Universe Philippines under a new directorship definitely has its perks. Apart from having a fabulous and funny personal assistant, I now live in a nice comfortable condo unit in Global City which is a far cry from our humble home in Iloilo City. I also get to have my very own power red compact SUV that I named Abegail- with chauffeur!

Yayamanin diba! First time ko magka-sasakyan kahit hindi ako marunong mag drive! Samantala dati, bike, tricycle o jeep lang nasasakyan ko. Luckily, manong Elmer is here to drive me where I needed to be.

Erik sat in the oak-colored chair beside me as he browsed his phone to check his Instagram feed.
"Ang kabogera talaga ni Thailand! Feeling ko diyosa ito sa personal, tingnan mo".

I looked at his phone to check the photo. "She's really pretty. Mukha din naman siyang mabait e. There's something about her that's so intriguing and mysterious. Yung parang pag kausap mo siya in person siguro mapapatulala ka nalang"

"So far sa group chat namin, she's very nice." I added.

"Lakas maka alta ano? Tutulo nalang siguro laway ko kakatingin sa kanya. Panay english e! Laking Canada kaya yan", Erik swooned.

"Fan club ka ni Amanda, te? Alam mo life story. Akala ko team Ibyang ka?" I blurted in a teasing manner.

Erik raised his left eyebrow "Siyempre hindi ako mag si-switch. Team Ibyang parin ako. Ang pinaka kabogerang dilag sa pangkalawakan!! Pero baka sumampa ako doon sa team AFAM sa BF nya na blue eyes! Charot!" we both laughed so hard that the banana I was chewing slightly dripped onto my pink blouse.

"Hala!!!" we still continued on laughing as I wipe the banana off my blouse.

"Palitan mo na yang blouse mo, girl. Mabantot ang saging pag natuyo tapos mag brown pa yang stain parang erna, eeeew!" my assistant joked.

"Kadiri ka talaga, te!" I responded as I walk towards my room to change, "sayang naman yung blouse ko today ang cute pa naman mukha akong manika dito."

Since I have a quick sponsor shoot for Cetaphil this afternoon, I just opted to replace the stained blouse with a simple yet chic white sleeveless button up shirt.

Looking at the mirror to put on the final touches of my look today, I thought to myself mukha na naman akong fresh. As soon as I opened my door and walked back into the living quarters of my condo Erik looked at me with a huge grin on his face, "Puwedeng puwede ka na uli humilera sa mga alta!"
