🌿Chapter 12🌿

You woke up staring at a blank white ceiling as soft cries filled your ears, you squinted and groaned. Your head hurt like hell and the bright lights in the room didn't help your growing pains..

You fully opened your eyes and looked around the white room, a few familiar faces sitting around the bed you were on.

"Where... am i?" you asked making the people turn towards you in shock, that's when you started remembering their faces. It was Kel's mom, Polly and.... Basil..

"You're in the hospital (Y/n)" Polly answered in a soft yet sad voice, you looked around the room once more and made eye contact with Basil. He looked down and buried his face in his hands while Polly rubbed his back to comfort him.

Then you remembered...

"Where's dad?" you asked them, they all looked away neither of them wanting to tell you. You took the hint and shook your head looking down at your white sheets "No... you have to be joking... he isn't dead... that wasn't real..." you muttered putting your hands to your head and shutting your eyes. Tears falling rapidly down them..

"Please... please tell me its all fake..." you cried out, Kel's mom gulped and put a hand to your shoulder "I'm sorry (Y/n)... he's not here anymore" you looked at her with wide eyes, you choked back your tears and put your face into your hands fully breaking down in front of the small crowd.

You couldn't help but think it was all your fault, you could've forgiven him when he begged for it. You could've just went out to make both of you happy again... but no... you didn't listen... now you cant say sorry to him anymore... you cant say you love him.... he's gone... all because of you.

The group of people stayed silent wiping away their own tears of sorrow as they couldn't help but listen to you cry your heart out.

A nurse entered the room with a sad expression on her face, clearly not wanting to be the bringer of bad news. She handed the letter to Kel's mom and whispered something to her.

She nodded and held the letter as the nurse left the room "Uhm.. (Y/n).. they found this letter in your dad's room... its addressed to you" she said, gently putting the letter on top of your covered up lap.

You pulled your hands away from your face and looked at the letter picking it up with shaky hands and opening it to unveil the writing.

"My dearest (Y/n),

I'm sorry for what i did to you, I've been a bad father to you and I'm so sorry. You've made my days so much better ever since your mother passed away but I've only made your life worse. I've made you forget, I've made you cry and i've made you mad.

I've given up on trying to make you happy again, i realized what i did to you was selfish and couldn't bare the guilt of ruining your happiness. I'm sorry my angel, if i could turn back time to think about things differently and not make the same mistakes i made, i would. I love you so much, may we meet again in another life, where i could take care of you better than in this

-Your father. "

As you read the letter tears dripped from your eyes and onto the already tear stained paper, you held the note close to you and cried harder than before. Basil held onto his hands tightly digging his nails into his skin, Your cries hurt to hear, it hurt his heart to see you in so much pain.

He let out a small breath before he wrapped up his arms around you, he didn't know what to say to you but he wanted to let you know that he was here for you. You melted into his touch and turned to hug him back crying into his shoulder.

You didn't want to be alone again..

You didn't want to leave people in fear that you would lose them too...

You didn't want to lose anyone else..

You didn't want to lose him...
