Rafael sat on the edge of the ship holding the bottle that he found floating in the sea.
He tried pulling the cork from the bottle, but it didn't come off.
Then he slammed the bottle on the ground and broke it.
The rolled up piece of paper fell on the ground.
He kicked the broken glass off the side of the ship and dried off his hands on his shirt so he could pick up the paper.
He picked up the paper, unrolled it and started reading it.
I'm writing this in the hopes that it reaches someone who will do whatever it takes to survive.
I am a scientist working for the Government to find a source of energy to create an immunity to radiation in order for them to achieve their plan of destroying the world and restarting it.
Until recently they were a hundred years away from achieving that.
They found a newly forming volcano with an emerging island.
With that, they can extract enough energy from it to achieve their plan much sooner than they anticipated.
As soon as they discovered the island, everyone on the ship that expressed any interest of telling people in the city were murdered by the Government's men.
So whoever reads this, be very careful who you tell, the Government will kill you and anyone that you told if they find out.
By my calculations, they'll have completed collecting enough volcanic energy to execute their plan in approximately 37 years, 2 months and 5 days.
Their plan is to detonate their supply of atomic nuclear bombs to try to resurface the land.
Which will kill everyone except for them and anyone they decide to save.
But there is one way to prevent this.
In order for them to detonate the bombs, they'll need to type in a code into a computer that will send a remote signal to detonate the nukes.
If you can access that computer, you can prevent it from sending the signal.
But it must be done before June 15, 2509.
Otherwise, the world will truly no longer exist.
Good luck and godspeed.
