Irina, Waters and Mason arrived at the police station and began walking toward the entrance.
They stopped at the door and patted Irina down.
The Policeman who patted her down took a music box necklace out of her pocket, examined it, and then gave it back to her.
The Policeman opened the door and they all went inside.
They went down a hallway to a door that led to a stairwell.
The Policeman opened the door and they all began going down the stairwell.
As Irina went down the stairs, she looked at the two policemen walking beside her and saw their guns in their holsters on their hips.
Waters and Mason were walking in front and weren't looking back at Irina.
Irina went down the last set of steps and had her eyes fixed on the gun in the Policeman's holster.
They reached the end of the stairwell to another door and the Policeman opened it.
They went through the door into a long hallway with doors to cells.
They walked down the long hallway and Irina still had her eyes on the Policeman's gun who was walking next to her.
Irina's heart was pounding in her chest.
They reached the end of the hallway and stopped at the door.
One Policeman went to unlock the door while the other one stood next to her.
Irina looked at the Policeman standing next to her and saw that he wasn't paying attention to her.
Then, in that split second, Irina picked the gun out of the Policeman's holster and put it in her pocket so quickly that the Policeman did not notice it was gone.
She kept her hands out of her pockets so the Policeman wouldn't look at her suspiciously.
The other Policeman opened the door and they all entered the room.
Irina's heart was pounding as she went inside.
She saw her parents in a cell sitting on cots.
Her parents turned to look and saw Irina.
Irina saw that her parents looked pleased to see her.
She couldn't believe that she was really seeing her parents and she felt a surge of anger inside her.
She made a fist and was almost shaking to pull the gun out of her pocket immediately.
But then Mason said—
—"Let's all have a seat, shall we."
Waters said it so calmly that it put Irina slightly at ease.
The Policeman closed the door to the room and they all sat down on chairs.
Irina stared at her parents sitting on cots in the cell and she began slowly moving her right hand into place to reach for the gun in her pocket.
"Privet (Hello) Irina." said Irina's Mother in Russian, which Irina didn't care for.
"Nope. None of that. Speak English." said Waters.
"I vas jus saying hello to my daughter." said Irina's Mother in English, which only infuriated Irina.
"YA ne tvoya doch." (I'm not your daughter.) said Irina in Russian.
Then Irina pulled the gun out from her pocket with her right hand and aimed it at her mother and pulled the trigger.
BANG!
The bullet hit one of the metal bars of the cell, chipping off a piece of it and missed Irina's Mother.
The recoil from the shot was so strong that the gun fell out of Irina's hand and landed on the floor.
Irina bent down quickly to grab it, but the two Policemen grabbed her and stopped her.
The Policeman grabbed the gun and restrained Irina down on the ground.
Then Mason yelled—
—"What's wrong with you!? How do you let a girl swipe your gun!? You idiot!"
The Policemen put Irina back in her seat and restrained her in the chair.
Irina saw her Father smiling at her and Irina's Father said in Russian to Irina—
—"U devushki. No razve vy ne khotite snachala uslyshat', chto my dolzhny skazat'?" (Nice try. But don't you want to hear what we have to say first?)
Then Irina answered back in Russian—
—"Net, mne vse ravno, chto ty govorish'. Vse, chto ya khochu, - eto chtoby vy oba umerli, eto yedinstvennoye, chto prineset mne pokoy." (No. I don't care what you say. All I want is both of you dead, it's the only thing that will bring me peace.)
Then Irina's Mother said—
—"Chto zh, ochen' plokho, potomu chto ty vse ravno eto uslyshish." (Well, too bad, cause you're going to hear it anyway.)
Then Waters said—
—"Enough of that Russian Rubbish and start telling us what we came to hear. Start from the beginning."
Then Irina's Father said in English—
—"Well, for starters, our names are not Pyotr and Antonina Tchaikovsky. Our real names are Magnus Kasparov and Mila Kosovic. And we're not Irina's Real parents."
