The long lock of black hair that Detective Waters had found belonged to Yumi Sawano.
She was a 10 year old Japanese Girl.
She had long black hair that she held together in a bun with a white lotus flower hairpin.
She wore a red dress that covered her knees and she walked down the stairs toward the classroom.
The Twins and Leo sat in class as the Teacher wrote something on the white board.
The Teacher saw Yumi walk into the classroom and the Teacher said—
—"Oh, and who are you?"
"My name's Yumi, my Dad and I just moved here."
The Twins and Leo looked over at Yumi intrigued and Leo was very smitten with her.
They invited Yumi to sit with them at their table during lunch and they all became instant friends.
"I like your hairpin. It's cool." said Ana.
"Thanks. My Mom got it for me before she died." said Yumi matter of factly, which would have made the situation incredibly awkward if it was not for Ana who said—
—"Oh. I'm sorry, how did she die?"
"She was killed by a Man that she used to work for."
"What was her work?" asked Leo.
"She was a prostitute."
Leo thought she had said 'substitute' and said—
—"Cool. My Mom's a teacher too. She teaches Sunday school at church."
Yumi laughed thinking Leo had made a funny joke and said—
—"Good one."
"What's so funny?" asked Leo genuinely confused.
Yumi realized that he wasn't joking and said—
—"I said Prostitute, not substitute."
"Oh, what's a prostitute?"
"Ask your Mom." said Yumi smiling.
"You know, you're weird. But in a good way." said Ana.
"Thanks, I guess."
AFTER LUNCH, they returned to class and the Teacher asked for a volunteer to come to the board to solve a math problem.
Leo volunteered to try to impress Yumi.
But when he looked at the math problem on the board, he decided to draw a funny picture of the Teacher with big breasts and a big butt.
Everyone in class laughed and Leo got suspended for a day, but to see Yumi laugh was worth it to Leo.
Before the Teacher pulled him out of class by his ear, Leo smiled at Yumi and Yumi blushed.
Ana had also come to develop a crush on a boy in class named Ennio.
He was quiet and kept to himself for the most part.
He had brown hair and brown eyes.
She saw that he was shy whenever she tried to talk to him in class, which only made her like him more.
But that all changed when Ana saw Ennio hanging out with the fishing ship guards near the docks one day.
Ana was stunned.
The ship guards hated and treated all of the kids like garbage.
So the fact that they were treating Ennio like he was part of them meant that he was somehow involved with them, or worse, he and his family were sympathizers and supporters of them.
Ana did not like Ennio after she saw that, nor did she try to talk with him in class after that.
