LAUREN had turned 18 years old and her last day on the ship had arrived.
She lost Eli and May, who she considered to be her family and she blamed herself for their deaths.
She thought about seeing Eli and May's mother and their mother asking her what happened to them.
There was no way Lauren could bring herself to tell Eli and May's Mother what happened to her children.
And the other thing floating around in her mind was the questions that she wanted to ask her own mother, Kate.
She wanted to ask her why she kept things from her about her Father and that her Mother had a sister named Clare.
All these things swirled around in Lauren's mind the last night that she spent on the ship.
THE MORNING CAME and Ana gave her a hug, wished her good luck and told her goodbye.
When the guards came to her room and opened the door, they told Lauren to collect her belongings, return her work uniform and come with them.
Lauren folded her uniform neatly and held her navy blue bandana in her hand.
She went and fixed her long red hair in the bathroom mirror and put her bandana in her hair.
She tied the bandana in a knot behind her head.
Then she picked up her folded uniform and walked out of her room.
She handed her uniform to the guards and started walking out of the building.
She walked out of the building with the rest of the 18 year olds and the Captain lined them all up on the deck of the ship facing the docks for the Graduation Ceremony.
Lauren looked over at the docks and saw a crowd of people watching who were the parents or family members of the graduates.
The Captain walked along and looked at each of the kids' faces who were lined up.
Then the Captain gave a speech congratulating and thanking them for their years of hard work on the ship.
Then as the Captain walked in front of Lauren, he stopped and looked at her.
Lauren noticed the Captain looking at her and felt uneasy.
The Captain walked up to Lauren and got a closer look at her face like he recognized her or something.
He was so close to her that Lauren was able to see his face up close, which was something she did not want.
Lauren saw that the Captain had blue eyes and tan skin.
"What's your name girl?" asked the Captain.
"Lauren Bush." said Lauren.
"You remind me of this girl I knew once. She looked just like you. She had red hair like you too." said the Captain and walked away.
