IT HAD BEEN ALMOST TWO MONTHS since the last time that Rick had heard from Clare and he was starting to worry that something bad happened to her.
Rick went looking for Clare for weeks around the city, but was not able to find a single lead.
Then Rick went to see Roger at the police station.
He entered the police station and walked over to Roger's office.
He entered the office and saw Roger sitting at his desk.
Roger looked up at Rick and Rick said—
—"I need your help."
"What is it this time Rick?"
"It's my wife. She's been missing for over a month. Maybe more."
Roger's interest was immediately caught and suspected that Kate's death might have had something to do with Clare's disappearance.
Roger got up from his desk and said—
—"Let's talk outside."
Rick and Roger went walking outside and Rick told Roger everything that he knew about Clare.
Then they split up and went searching in different parts around the city.
Rick went to see Rob and they both began to search for Clare together.
AFTER A MONTH OR TWO OF SEARCHING, Rob and Rick came upon something.
They were walking along the edge of a ship and saw something far out in the ocean floating.
They went inside the ship and looked through a telescope.
They saw a young Woman floating in the water.
Rob and Rick immediately ran out to the deck of the ship.
Then Rick jumped off the ship and started swimming over to save the girl floating in the water.
Rick swam as fast as he could and got to her.
He saw that she was still alive and breathing, but was unconscious.
He swam back while carrying her and got her back to the ship.
Rick brought her back up to the deck of the ship and Rob went over to her.
"Is she okay?" asked Rob.
"Yes. She's just passed out from exhaustion."
Rob looked closer at the girl and realized that it was Lauren.
"It can't be." said Rob shocked.
"What?"
"I know her. She's Kate's daughter."
