I walk out of the building and find Lucah waiting for me. Some girl walks up to him and I stop walking to watch them. They laugh at something and then hug before she walks away. Then his eyes land on me and I feel bad for spying on them. He waves at me and I walk up to him.

"So that's your girlfriend, uh? She's pretty," I comment.

"Geez, what do you think of me? I'm a one girl only kinda guy. I don't date one and flirt with another." He looks disappointed.

"Sorry. I wasn't judging you. I was just asking and it's totally cool if she were your girlfriend."

"Hey. No, I'm not upset. I'm just joking."

   "Oh."

"But seriously, though. She is just a friend," he affirms.

   "Oh."

"Okay, c'mon, now let us go. The shop is around the corner so we can walk."

   "Uhm, wait."

I look at him with hesitation.

"Please don't tell me you're cancelling on this."

"Yeah. I mean no, not that. I Uhm."

"It's okay. I understand." He looks disappointed again.

"Can you come to my house tomorrow instead?" I ask.

He raises an eyebrow. I start shifting my weight from my right leg to my left leg and playing with my fingers.

   "I kinda need your help."

   "Okay. What's up?"

"Well, uhm, I hum need you to uhm you to meet my dad."

Once the words leave my mouth, I realize how weird that sounds and the look on his face makes it worse.

   "Okay... Why?"

   Shit. Shit. Shit.

"Oh no! No! Forget it. Ugh, why did I ask you this," I mutter and turn around.

"Hey, wait," he grabs my wrist.

I don't turn and look at him.

"Just forget what I said, okay?" I say and pull my hand away.

I start walking without looking back.

"Fine, I'll do it. Just tell me what I have to do."

I stop and a smile tugs at my lips. I turn and look at him. He's already standing close enough to me that when I open my mouth to say something, he places a finger on my lips just like yesterday.

   "Not here. In the café."

I smile and walk along with him. Our shoulders brush now and then making my stomach do a flip. We walk into the shop and he pulls the chair for me to sit down. I thank him as I take my seat. We both place our orders and start talking.

"Okay, I know you think this is weird. Or that I'm weird-"

"I didn't think that," he chuckles.

   "You do. I'm sure-"

"Look, Teagan, I know you are going through something and I'm not gonna force you to tell me neither am I going to judge your choices."

   "Thank you."

"Okay, so tell me, am I being introduced as the boyfriend or-"

"Gosh, no! No! My friend. Just friends."
