Mira pushed past the crowd. Gary was holding the child and looking in her direction. “My baby!” she threw open her arms ready to take the child. Right then someone grabbed her by the arms. In one swift moment, her hands were pulled and cuffed behind her. “LET GO OF ME!” She screamed. Sandra Larson and her team held her put. Mira watched as Bea ran past her and engulfed the child in her arms. Bea kissed Avery all over her face as she cried in delight. Mira watched feeling defeated.
The verdict was in favour of Bea. Both lawyers along with Josie proved that Mira was unfit of a mother and that the only reason she kept the child was for the money. It was brought to light that Mira was sending Josie voice notes pretending to be Bea when in reality Bea hadn’t heard from her aunt since her father died. Mira had told her that Josie blamed Bea for what happened to her brother.
As for criminal charges, Mira will spend 3 years in prison for domestic violence. Thanks to Josie, Mira will be spending extra two years for the felony of fake identity. So Mira and her lover boy will be spending 5 years in prison for all the bullshit they caused Bea. As for the therapist, she confessed that she only lied believing the child might help Mira get better. So she and Tusha will have to pay a small sum of penalty for wasting the court's time. Concerning the money, Mira is in debted to give Josie her money back and also hand over the documents of the shop and house.
Hayden ran to Tusha who was talking to the Judge. “I’m honoured to be at your last case, Mrs Jones.” Upon seeing Hayden, the Judge wished Tusha good luck and left. Tusha turned and looked at him. He grabs her hand and looked at her with glossy eyes. “Thank you. Thank you so much! Aunt Tush. If you hadn't found Josie and Pierre, we might have lost.” Bea walks up to them and Tusha looks at her. “Thank you,” she said hugging Avery.
“Thank your mum, Hayden. She was the one working behind the scenes. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t have had any evidence. It was because of her that the cops caught Pierre and I got to know about Josie,” Tusha explained.
Hayden swiftly turned on his heel looking around for Katherine. He saw her standing with his dad in a corner, watching him. He ran to them filled with remorse as he couldn’t help thinking of how much he hated them not too long ago. Katherine with no bitterness, opened her arms out as she stepped forward and clung to Hayden. A soft sob left his lips and Katherine sniffled. Her heart was finally left at ease now that this was all over.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I should have known. I’m sorry for hurting you,” Hayden cried. Katherine pulled back and grabbed his face. She shook her head and said, “No. It isn’t your fault. I’m sorry you felt as if I didn’t support you. I'm sorry I kicked you-“ Hayden shook his head and placed his hand on her mouth. “It’s okay,” he whispered and hugged her again.
Meanwhile, Bea was apologising to Noah. “I’m sorry, uncle. I thought you set us up. How can I be so ungrateful,” Bea sobbed. “Y-you did so much- and yet- thank y-you.” Her sentences were cut up as she started to wheeze. Noah patted her back as she took a puff from her inhaler. “I liked you since the day we met kid. I know who you are. You were made to think we were against you as an account of what was happening. So it's alright,” he told her.Bea looked at Katherine who was now looking at her. Bea stepped forward and Katherine pulled her into a hug. “I’m sorry for treating you badly.” Bea pulled back and shook her head. “No-“ Katherine placed her finger on Bea's lips. “Let me finish." Bea nodded. "I was just worried for my son that he might have taken the wrong choice but then seeing how he stood up for you. How his friends stood up for you. I knew I was wrong. And you proved me wrong. I’m glad you did.” Katherine caressed Bea's cheeks. “You are family, alright? I’m sorry you had to live with such a shitty lady. You didn’t deserve any of that. But let that all go okay? You have us now.” She gestured to the small crowd that was around Bea. “Noah and I will try to be good parents to you too and Avery of course.” Bea let out another sob as she hugged the two of them. Hayden smiled and joined the hug.
Tusha and Jackson Yeun watched them with a smile. Sarah Larson walked up to them and placed her hand on Tusha’s shoulder. “She makes a great spy, uh?” Tusha smiled and replied, “And a great mother too.” It takes real love to do what Katherine did for her family. This will be discovered by the young adults of the family soon. Gaining Mira’s trust in a short period wasn’t easy. Tusha’s idea of using an understudy was what got Mira to trust Katherine. Carrying information was the next step. It wasn’t easy for Katherine to fight with her son who she loved so much, but she had to do it. Tusha thought it was best the kids didn’t know so that they would retaliate and react out of emotions of losing which would make Mira believe she was winning. To their disappointment, Pierre never showed up. So Katherine had to step it up and put Miller and Mira to sleep with some secret mushroom soup. Taking advantage of the limited time she got, Katherine scrolled through Mira’s phone and found out about her contact with Josie who was later found and contacted by Noah and brought to London. Katherine was also able to access Miller’s phone and warn Pierre that his mum was going to get arrested. All this was done just the day before the Hearing. Pierre falling for the trap, came to see his mum and got caught.
“Let’s go have lunch! My treat!” Hayden announces after he had thanked everyone. Bea grabs his hand and adds, “Our treat.” Hayden looked at the woman he loved and slung his arm around her shoulder. They looked at the people around them. “Thank you for giving me a family again,” Bea whispered. Hayden nodded and kissed her head.He noticed two people walking by and called out to them, “Mrs Larson and Mr Yeun, please join us for lunch.”
At Lunch, Noah gave a toast on behalf of the elders. “We all just want to say how proud we are of each one of you, kids. Yall began this fight without any help. Teagan used her mother’s crime skills, Lucah, son you believed in my son more than me. Without you, Mira wouldn’t have been caught in the first place. Teagan despite getting hurt, you never gave up on my children.” His words made Bea cry a little. “But I’m not surprised. You’ve always been the one that took after us. A motherly figure for both of my sons. If Zayden was here he’d be really proud.” He paused a moment as they all thought about their loved one.
Noah patted his son’s back, “You did well kiddo. I’m proud of you. You truly loved this woman and never gave up on her. It prides me to know I raised a good man. Bea, you are a good mother too. Despite all the blows you stood your ground and got your child.”
“I couldn’t have done it alone,” Bea replied smiling as she looked around.
“And of course thanks to Alfonso who helped in this mission. Emmet and Tusha for looking after these two and Tusha’s brain for doing what it does best. Busting criminals.” His last sentence got people chuckling. Noah sat down and continued to dine with his family and friends. For the rest of the day, the families continued celebrating their victory in each other's presence.
