My chest jerks up and I lift my head to quickly.
A shocking pain comes from the back of my head, as I raise my hand, I feel blood dripping from the back of my neck.
I've cracked my head open.
I look around, there's only a few people who are conscious left, and even if they are conscious their running out of the building.
There's not a single person without some sort of injury.
As my eyes quickly scan all the unconscious bodies, my mind starts racing.
Not a mind reading explosion. Not now.
I know at least one person in this crowd of unconscious bodies is dead.
I look to my left, I can't hear out of that ear, bloods dripping from it onto my black dress.
Thank god I wore black.
Then it hit me. Where's Thor. Wandas missing, Thor's missing. That's all I've heard of, but I can tell somebody else is too.
I see Maddie in the corner of my eye walking out of the room. I get up quickly, ignoring the shocking pin going through my left ear, skull and right hamstring.
I follow her out, holding onto my right leg gently and guiding it. Each step was an effort.
I see Maddie staring at a figure. The figure holds out some sort of weapon, but I can tell Maddie is to shocked to see.
She's going to die.
"Maddie" I yell as I manage to throw myself infront of her.
The further turns and leaves.
I looked exactly like that tiktok trend I showed Steve the other night that goes like "don't cry i'm just a fish".
I didn't even realise I knocked Maddie down.
I stand up, reaching my arm out to help Maddie up.
"We are going to the first aid room. Now." I say with a stern voice.
Even thought Maddie and I are a few months apart, I still feel it's my job to keep her safe. I realise i'm holding onto her wrist tightly, I let go.
As we enter the elevator, I picture the figure. They looked familiar. I just couldn't put the pin on it.
I see Maddie glancing at me, trying not to make it obvious. It was really obvious.
I look down at the floor, there's a puddle of blood forming on the floor.
I feel a vibration in my hand, I completely forgot I had my phone in my hand this whole time.
Tony messaged me, updating me about the current situation.
I call him.
"Where are you and Maddie?" he sounds frustrated,
but the tone in his voice made it obvious he was worried.
"Maddie and I are heading to the first aid centre" I say as Maddie and I exit the elevator.
"Do you guys have your suits?" He questions me.
"Maddies got hers on. Mines in my room" I say as I drag my leg down the hallway while grunting.
"What's that" he says hesitantly.
"I've pulled my hamstring, cracked my head open and I can't hear out of my left ear. Maddie has broken her left arm" I say.
"Ok. I gotta go. After your done in first aid head down and get your suit on. Don't forget your ear piece! Clints in coms" he hangs up before I can say anything.
