When I come to, Kandyce and Bruce are fighting, and Kandyce is winning. I'm super dizzy, and the back of my head feels wet.
"Woah! KanDeez Nuts is kicking your ass!" I shout.
I get up and deactivate my skates. We don't need that to happen twice. That was embarrassing. I put my hand to the back of my head, and it's completely covered in blood. That's not good. I run over and join Kandyce, and I can tell she's getting tired. I kick Bruce in the face, but it doesn't have as much well, kick, as before. Im still feeling super loopy, and my head is gushing blood. I must've cracked my head open. I'm doing my best to use my powers, but they're not doing much better than I am. I have a massive headache, and probably a concussion.
I think Kandyce notices because she shouts something at me, but I'm too preoccupied to notice. I turn to the direction she's facing and there I am. Not again.
"Ugh, seriously? You again?" I sigh, exasperated.
"Again?"
"They can be brought back infinitely, all I have to do is tell the person in the future and they can be sent back just a few seconds earlier. But you can't be brought back. So eventually, you'll be the one that dies." Bruce explains.
"Why are you so hellbent on killing us?!" Kandyce asks.
"I'm not hellbent on killing you, I'm hellbent on stopping the apocalypse."
"Can't we just promise not to start the apocalypse?" I say
"Don't you think I've tried?! You've lived through this hundreds of times. The only way is to kill you all."
