After dad left Alice arrived with our food. She doesn't comment on my appearance. We just eat dinner in silence. After we finished I clean up the mess we made.
"I'll go to sleep now", Alice says, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Okay, I'll go after I finished this", I tell her not looking up from the dishes.
She sighs and leaves the room. I finish cleaning and go into my bedroom. I lay down on my bed and try to fall asleep, but I can't. After tossing around for 30 minutes I stand up and look out of the window. I see a building that catched my eye earlier. It's a museum that had something pretty interesting in one of the exhibition.
I walk out of my room, opening the door to Alice's. She's asleep. I'm glade that she's able to catch some sleep. I quietly close the door.
Looking trough the cupboards I am able to find a knive and a rope. Guess that'll have to do it.
I leave our room, making sure I don't make any noises. I have to come past dad's and Nat's room after all.
After leaving the hotel without anyone noticing I walk into the direction of the museum.
I walk up to a wall at the back, where nobody can see me from the street. I climb up there and find an entrance. After getting into it I walk around, dodging every camera and security guard. They should get better ones.
I walk by the diamants and everything, not even sparing them a glance. I know where I need to be.
Finally arriving I look around. I'm in an exhibition of a pretty old culture. They are called the 'princeps elementum'. They are an old clan. Something like the Mayers, but still different.
Legends say that the princeps elementum were able to control the elements, but everyone could only control one. I had to read about them a lot at H.Y.D.R.A. because they wanted me to learn from them. That is exactly what I'm going to do now.
Making sure that no security guard is anywhere near here I get to work.
After successfuly stealing something in one of the most secure buildings ever excisting I look at my target.
It's an old book.
Almost nobody can do something with it, but I can. I learned how to do that at H.Y.D.R.A.. I studied the princeps elementum.
I put the book into my backpack, leaving the museum the same way I came.
After coming back to the hotel I get into my room, sitting down on my bed. I get the book out of my backpack and start reading. It's written in a very old language, which only a few people can understand.
The book is dedicated to the element water, which is exactly what I need. Every move that the princeps elementum knew about is listed in here.
I already know about most of them, but there are a few new ones here. For example I can control the water in plants. Oh, and I can take the water out of plants and the air. But then I come to the darker ones.
Blood bending. I already know about that one.
Freezing the air around someone. With this one you have to frezze the air around someone, which can help in keeping them alive.
It's not that dark, but only masters are able to do it.
Freezing someone's blood or organs. Okay, that is dark, but it could be helpful in the future. I'll basically just have to lower the temperature in the inside of them.
Paralyzing someone temporarily.
Temporarily striping someone from their powers.
Going trough the book I found out a lot about my water powers, but I should maybe bring the book back. Don't want anyone to get fired because of me.
Walking trough the dark I think about our situation with Bruce.
We have to make sure that he can't come back into our reality or he could kill even more people. I wouldn't be able to handle that. He could just come back and kill anyone.
