In the elevator, I see Kandyce call Mr Stark, but I can barely make out what she's saying. Something about having broken her head open. I'm so dazed, I didn't even notice. She hangs up, as she walks out of the elevator. She tells me to make sure my earpiece is connected. I'm just wearing my mask, but my earpiece is probably broken. I can barely even hear what she's saying. Someone's on comms. I feel dizzy.
Kandyce is only a few months older than me, but she seems to think she's my mom. I just celebrated my 16th birthday. I can remember everything, but I can't see the figure's features in my mind's eye. They were drinking something.
Kandyce must've been reading my mind, because she says something like "it wasn't a drink it was a ...." I didn't catch the last word, and I'm having a hard time using my powers.
We get to the clinic, and Kandyce has to tell them what's going on. They tell her to get ready for a CT scan and they bring me to a separate room to get a sling. I ask what happened, but nobody knows. My hearing is slowly coming back, which is lucky. The doctor says I'm free to go, and I feel my side buzz. It takes me a minute to realize it's coming from my purse. I pull out my phone.

I get up and head to Kandyce's room. When I get there, it looks like it's been ransacked. "Who knew Kandyce was so messy" I say, looking for her suit. I can't find it.

shitshitshit I rummage through everything, every drawer, the close, but I can't find her suit. I run to the elevator and get to my room. My rooms been searched through, too, and the rest of my suit's missing.
I run back to the clinic, but it's completely empty.
