I look around, and my room is a mess. Half of my things are burnt, and Kandyce's evil version is dead on the floor. I get up and leave. I need to find people.
I walk around the compound aimlessly for awhile. I wonder if anyone's awake, or if anyone even went to bed. No one's walking around, but the compound is a mess. ai go back up to the ballroom and go to where the explosion happened. I stop in my tracks. The evil version of myself is standing there, smiling. This time, she's a black supersuit that looks exactly like mine, but with some upgrades.
She clicks a button, and suddenly she's on rollerblades, which is an upgrade I've been begging Mr. Stark for ever since I learned to skate. Honestly, I'm a little jealous, I REALLY want those skates.
"Lucky," I mumble, preparing myself to fight. I put my arms up. There's not enough sound to control, and I don't have my music, so I'll have to do hand-to- hand.
"Ok, Maddie," I tell myself, "Just like you've practiced."
I almost never fight hand to hand, the only time I do is when I'm sparring in training, and even then I use my powers to cheat a little (don't tell Steve).
I can't fight her again, I barely won the first time. Plus, this time, she has light blue light- up rollerblades which are really cool and distracting. Plus, they give her more agility, and they look super cool. I'm obsessed with them.
"Listen, I'm supposed to kill you," she says, "and I'm going to succeed, and so are the rest of my friends."
"Yeah, well your knockoff Kandyce is dead in my room."
She laughs.
"Yeah right."
Kandyce's other self enters the room. I'm outmatched by the other me on her own, but Kandyce is more powerful than me already. I try to escape, but the other me skates over and stops me.
"Cool, right," she taunts, referring to her skates, "I know how much you want them. They make me a lot faster, and they're a real asset to the team."
"i think they're an eyesore," I say. She rolls her eyes.
"You're not leaving. I'm going to kill you."
"Then fight fair and leave Kandyce from Wish out of this."
"Relax, she's not gonna help," she pulls out her knives again.
There's no way I can fight her again.
