finally pin my older self against the wall, and I want to kill her. But I need answers.
"What's going on?" I ask, pressing my blade against her neck.
"Ooh, I don't remember being this feisty," she laughs. "I'll tell you, but only because I'm about to kill you. You destroy the world. Your little crush- what was his name again? Peter?- dies and so does everyone else and it's your fault. Want me to continue?"
I feel like crying, but I press her to finish. She sighs.
"You are so hungry for attention and validation that you have a major part in killing everyone. Because you tried to prove yourself. Because I tried to prove myself." she looks like she's going to cry.
"I'm here to set things right. Those people were innocent. And it was YOUR fault. It was my fault."
"No," I say sternly, "no."
"Why can't you just accept this? This is the beginning of the end, Maddie. It's not just you, either, it's Kandyce and Mara and Jay and Emma and everyone else. I tried multiple times to kill you in that explosion but..." I stop listening.
"Bruce is evil." I hear Evil Kandyce say. I walk over, putting my knives back. She says things I already know, but i'm shocked. There's no way Bruce is evil. No. Way.
