Adria, Flynn, and I stay even after everybody else leaves. We sit on my bed and plan.
"Its practically suicide," Flynn says, looking at me. Despite not wanting to do it, him and Adria are together, and he'd do anything for her. They're actually super cute. It makes me miss Peter.
"I know," I say, "but we only have a year and a half before our ID cards expire, and I doubt we'll be getting new ones." Flynn and Adria nod gravely. They know exactly what I'm talking about.
"Besides, if we're right about FACTS it's better to leave." I say.
"Also I'm probably not going to be welcome once the heads find out I killed Tony," Adria says.
"So it's settled. Go pack your bags and we'll meet here in an hour." I say, standing up. They leave.
I grab a backpack and throw some clothes and food in it, tossing it on my bed. I turn the location on my cell off, and plug it in to charge.
After an hour, Flynn and Adria come back. We don't leave until 2 am.
We get to the first floor, which is mostly destroyed. I stand outside the elevator for a moment, remembering all that has happened here. I wonder if Adria's mom's office is still intact. I wonder if they ever moved her body.
The outside smells nasty, and it's pretty hot, even at night. We sneak past the guards and go to the warehouse we hid in only hours before.
"So are we bringing down FACTS or what?" I ask the group. Flynn nods.
We fall asleep in the half-destroyed warehouse.
When we wake up, we're met with little animals crawling all over us.
They're unlike anything we've ever seen.
"Holy shit!" a voice cries. "You're the Avengers!" A dirty kid runs up to us. They look to be about 13 or 14, and they clearly havent showered in weeks.
