Bruce is standing in the center of the crowd, looking at me. I start to panic and try to figure out a plan. I hear a loud thud behind me, and I see Kandyce.
Woah. She's covered in fire, and her hair is floating. She looks kinda hot, I think. As in on fire, she must be sweaty. I'm sweating just standing here.
I turn back around to face Bruce and I decide to pretend that nothings wrong. The public still doesn't know what happened, and Tony wants us to keep it under wraps.
"Hey Bruce! Are you here to help us evacuate?" I ask, feigning cheerfulness. Kandyce looks at me, confused.
"Wha-" she starts.
"shh, just go with it," I whisper.
"Something like that," he says, smiling.
"Good because we could use-"
"I'm here to evacuate you from life."
"Wow, okay that's a lot. Go off i guess." I say, preparing to fight."That's kind of a dumb comeback," Kandyce said. I grabbed my suit from my backpack and attached it to my shirt.
"Are we gonna fight or not?" I say, tapping my suit so it expands over me.
"We don't have to," he says, "just disband the Avengers and no one gets hurt."
"Do I look like I have the power to disband the Avengers?" I laughed, "You do realize I'm only 16, right? What do you want me to say? 'Sorry Tony, we're gonna have to disband the Avengers because Bruce said so'? Tough luck."
"So you're going to risk everyone's life for your own ego? You're just like Tony."
"Wow rude," Kandyce says.
"Yeah, that's uncalled for, Bruce." I say. He rolls his eyes."Whatever. You know I'm right."
"No, I know you're right. It's just rude to say it like that."
"Speak for yourself," Kandyce retorts.
"Are we gonna actually fight, or are we just gonna stand here and gossip? I can beat you with my eyes close," I tell him.
"Sure," he says, rolling his eyes.
