I hear the ferris wheel explode and I whip around. Erika goes running, and I shove everything into my backpack.
I turn to Kandyce and ask, "You told everyone on live we were going to Disneyland, didn't you?"
"Yeah, why?" she goes pale, "Shi-"
"Okay, I'm going to look for Bruce. You stay RIGHT HERE in case he comes and if I'm not back in 10 minutes, call Tony." I tell her, running off.
"Seriously?!" she calls. "I'm a lot more powerful than you, you know!" I keep running, pretending not to see her. I turn on my bug detector, but it's going off so much, I probably can't use it to help. I run back through the end of the line, but I don't see him. I go over to the Ferris Wheel, where Erika is trying to help.
"Erika!" I call. She looks up, and I walk towards her.
"Have you seen Bruce?" I ask, but she shakes her head. I run off again, looking in every little nook and cranny, but I don't see anyone.
I walk back towards the Ferris wheel, and there's a bunch of fire trucks and paramedics flooding the area. I know I've been gone for longer than ten minutes, and when I check my phone I see like a million missed calls from Tony. I shove my phone back into my backpack, and go to search for Kandyce and the others, but the area has been evacuated. I'm guessing Sam is on his way to the hospital, and Bucky is probably with him.
I call Tony back, but I don't get an answer. Ugh, not this again.
Bruce must be doing this on purpose. I wonder if everyone else is separated. I hope not.
I get out my bug detector and it goes off like crazy again, so I head to the bathroom and strip in a stall. I search all my clothes and eventually find the bug in that little quarter jeans pocket. It's probably tracking my location, too. That was definitely a planned attack, at least to some degree. I bet everyone has bugs on them. I put the bug on the floor and stomp on it until it breaks. I get redressed and turn the detector on again. It doesn't go off.
"Ha!" I shout, triumphant.
I leave the bathroom so I can find everyone else.
