I wake up. Nobody is in the hallway. My horse is gone. I quickly sit up and look around the hallway. Blood is on the floorboards. I stand up and knock on a random door.
Hopefully this time there won't be someone trying to kill me. Jay opens the door and immediately wraps her arms around me. I hug her back but she pulls away quickly.
"Why did you leave?" she seems mad. I really can't be bothered arguing. My head is spinning and my legs are numb.
"I had no family. I was going to die in the end, there was no point in me staying when I had a whole planet to rule" I explain to her as I make my way into her room.
She stops me from going in. "Alright" she sounds annoyed.
I hear footsteps coming down the hallway. I quickly push Jay into her room, run in and quietly shut the door.
"Where is she?!" I hear someone demand. Their voices aren't really familiar, but I can make them out to be male.
"I don't know sir" another one desperately says, "she was here, Tony said she was here".
I look over at Jay, she has her hand on her rib. I stand up and reach for her arm to help her up but she shakes her head. I put my head against the door. I hear the men walk off and go downstairs.
"I'm sorry" I say to Jay while sitting down next to her.
"Why are they looking for you?" she yells.
"I uh killed all the security guards at the gates" I stutter. Jay gets up so I get up.
I look around her room. Her style hasn't changed at all. I see a card on her desk. "What's this?" I ask her.
She sighs. "My work card. Don't touch it" she rolls
her eyes.
"It expires in a year? Then what?" I ask again.
"They kill me"
"what?"
"it's fine"
"and this is exactly why I didn't stay"
"lies"
"i'm not lying"
"you are"
"jay, I'm not lying. I read Tony's mind"
"why didn't you tell us?"
i stand their silently. "i don't know"
"EXACTLY. YOU DIDNT GIVE TWO SHITS ABOUT US. AS LONG AS EVERYONE YOU WERE RELATED TO WAS SAFE, YOU WERE HAPPY" she screams at me.
"THATS NOT TRUE. YOU KNOW ITS NOT TRUE. I CARED ABOUT YOU GUYS TO THE POINT WHERE I WOULD JUMP IN FRONT OF A GUN FOR YOU AND YOU KNOW THAT" I yell back.
Jay shakes her head. "then why didn't you tell us before you got us tangled in this bullshit. before you just left us to fucking die. you didn't care about us at all, not one bit" I see her eyes tear up.
"no-" I try to speak but she continues talking.
"you really didn't care at all did you? not one bit. keep lying to yourself Kandyce, but at the end of the day you know i'm telling the truth. i trusted you, i told you everything, yet you wouldn't tell me if i was going to die at the end of this" she's shaking, she's really mad.
"i don't know why i didn't tell you guys, i should of ok. but i came back. loki and thor knew you were gonna die, i don't see them here right now do i?" i bicker back.
Jay grabs me by the arm and drags me into the hallway. "don't ever talk to me again" she threatens before slamming the door shut.
