I'm so tired. I've been training nonstop. The morning we have tryouts, Ms Augustus knocks on my door. She barges in.
"No powers during tryouts by the way" she says with a smirk. Really? I've been practicing my powers for most of this time. She leaves the room, slamming my door shut.
I'm still going to be fine. My whole life I've had training on Asgard. Asgard training is the best there is. I get changed, have breakfast and before I know it, we are ready for tryouts.
I'm partnered with Mara. She seems quite depressed. I hug her. I see Ms Augustus glaring at me from the side of the room so I continue hugging Mara. Fuck that bitch.
Mara and I are called up. We have 10 minutes to show Ms Augustus what we have. I look at Mara and nod, indicating that it's going to be ok.
Mara does really well. We put off an even show. I don't try to hard because I want both of us to be on the team. I keep Mara in the stomach, making her land on her back.
I offer my hand out for her, she takes it. "Uhh- no. That is not on" Ms Augustus yells.
I turn around and her and raise an eyebrow. "Uhh- yes. It is on. I'm not hurting my friend then but helping her up" I tell her. I'm sick of her shit.
After Mara and I are done, Ms Augustus escorts me to a side room. She hands me a piece of paper. "Name, age, powers and family?" she questions me.
"Kandyce Thorsdottir, 734 years old, goddess of heat and minds and I can fly. My dads Thor and my mum was rumoured dead, haven't seen her since I was 3" I tell her, not making eye contact at all. She writes all of it down on paper.
"And why do you want to be an avenger?" she asks me.
Why do I want to be an avenger? Because their my family. The bond we have, you can't replace it" I say and she looks up at me. "Then you came along. Ruined it all. All of it. It's gone".
"Go on?" she smirks.
"I can't even bake with Wanda. Get my nails done with Jay. Watch movies with Maddie. Train with Nat. Spend time with my dad and uncle. And my cousin, Luca. You have ruined all of it. Every little bit of my life. Fucking gone" I slam my hand on the table and walk out of the side room, slamming the door shut.
Everyone watches me walk out of the training room, I hear Mara get called in. I storm up to my bedroom. My doors have been changed? Weird.
I flop on my bed and scream into my pillow. I fall asleep. I had a dream that all the avengers over 20 got kicked off the team and that Maddie kills Ms Augustus. When I wake up, I see Frigga in my room.
"Good morning" she greets me. I sit up in bed.
"What are you doing here?" I ask her.
"That dream was a vision. You need to be prepared. I can't stay long though" and she disappears into the wall.
I sit up in bed, get changed and get ready for the day. I don't bother putting make up on. I go to open the door but it's locked. Fuck fuck fuck. I burn the door down and walk down the hallway.
"Kandyce, to my office now" Ms Augustus says over the loud speakers. I sigh and walk down to her office.
She has her door wide open with a smile across her face. I walk in and sit down on a chair.
"I knew you would burn that door down" she says as she takes a seat. I just look down at my hands. "Your not gonna talk are you? You can go. Results are up" she tells me.
I leave the room and head to the training room. On one of the entrances, there's a piece of paper. I read it. Every single one of the avengers who are under 20 are in. I rip the paper off the door and walk to my dads room.
I knock on the door. He opens the door and I pass him the piece of paper without saying anything. He looks up at me, I can see his getting a bit teary.
"I'm not staying. I can already bet on it that Luca isn't staying too. You and Loki are gone, I'm going back to Asgard" I assure him as I grab the paper back from his hands.
He nods and I pull him into a hug. "Grandma came this morning" I tell him.
"Really?" he seems surprised.
"I had a vision. All the adult avengers kicked off the team and Maddie slitting Ms Augustus's throat" I tell him, forgetting about the cameras in the hallway.
"Great" he sarcastically says and I walk back to the training room to put the piece of paper back up.
When I get there I see Pietro looking around.
I pass him the piece of paper. "I'm leaving" I tell him.
He quickly reads the paper and looks up at me. "Your gonna go to Asgard?" he questions me. I nod and walk back to my room. As I walk down the hallway I see him run down the hallway and turn right, his going to see Wanda and Jay.
I flop onto my bed. I hear Maddie over the loud speakers, "Pietro come to Ms Augustus's office".
I walk out of my bedroom and look down the hallway, Pietro runs past me, almost making me fall over. I see Loki come out of his room. He looks at me confused and I shrug.
Pietro runs back and grabs me and Loki. He takes us to a hill near the compound then runs back to the compound. I sit down on the grass. Within a few minutes everyone was out of the compound.
"What's going on?" I ask Pietro as I stand up.
"Maddie killed Ms Augustus, she set off a bomb" he says in between breaths. I look over at the compound, it blows up into flames.
Everyone just watches it. I see one of the new girls crying. What the hell? Your crying? You've lived here for two days. Get over it.
I fly over to the compound, my suit coming out of the necklace around my neck as I make my way over there. I try to absorb the fire and heat. There's to much though. I get most of it. I fly over back to the hill and see Mara going out to get the rest of the fire.
The compound is still destroyed. What's left is dust and destroyed concrete.
