Chapter 19: Comeback

Shawna's POV

It's been four weeks since the shooting and I haven't slept a full night since. Scooter says I wake up screaming sometimes. He thinks I need help, but I refuse to. I'm just fine. When I woke up this morning I went for a walk with Derek and we got some coffee. It was warming up in London and it felt good.

"How's Justin?" Derek asked.

"He's good," I smiled. "I miss him. He's doing really good."

Last time I talked to Justin he told me that he hasn't seen Hailey OR Yovanna for a week and that its just been him and the kids. Pattie even told me she's been visiting them.

"That's good. I know the tour life is hard," Derek said. "Its even harder when you're not touring."

I laughed a little, "true."

I got a call from Scooter.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey, your doctor's appointment is at 1:00. Be back by 12:30 please."

"Oh okay, see you soon."

When we returned at 12:30, Scooter and I left to go to my doctor's appointment.

I had a few tests done to make sure I was cleared to go back on tour. After about an hour of waiting for results the nurse came in.

"Great news Shawna! You are all cleared to go back on tour. Just take things slow and if you have any problems feel free to call us," she said. "Have fun!"

"Thank you," I smiled. I suddenly felt so excited.

We got outside and I instantly called Justin.

"Hey baby," he answered.

"I'm making a comeback," I joked. "I got cleared for tour!"

"That's awesome baby! I'm so happy for you."

"I'm so excited! I just wanted to let you know I'm okay," I said. "I'll see you in three months but I'll talk to you tonight."

"Sounds good baby," he said. "I love you."

"I love you too babe."

I hung up and Scooter and I got in the car. We drove back to the little cabin. Nick and Alfredo were playing video games.

"Good news boys!" I sat in between them.

"What is it?" Nick didn't take his eyes off the screen.

"I'm cleared for tour!" I cheered.

They both looked at me with huge smiles. We had a little group hug and Scooter joined.

"Let's do a rehearsal tomorrow morning!" Nick said. "I'll call all of the dancers tonight."

"Okay," I smiled and stood up.

I went into the kitchen and got some food.

A few hours went by and there was a knock on the door. I opened it and my dancers poured in with pizza and drinks and they all hugged me.

"CONGRATS!" They cheered.

I smiled and hugged them all, "thank you!"

We had pizza and hung out the rest of the night. Everyone slept at my cabin and we stayed up most of the night talking. I loved my dancers, they were the sweetest people in the world and I was constantly laughing with them.

We watched movies and eventually fell asleep around 3:00 am, which made the early morning rehearsal extremely difficult.

"Who wants coffee?" Alexandria cheered as I sat up and stretched a little.
