Third Person's POV

The Kim family was one of the few families in Korea who were held in the highest regard, resulting in their children's actions to always be monitored and checked. But even so, Dahyun did not feel like that growing up. She only did, when she started high school, which she only attended for a year.

During Dahyun's entire life, she's been told that she looks so much like her parents. And when she first heard it when she was young, she always checks the mirror because it gives her so much happiness just to think that she has so much likeness with her mom and dad.

But of course, she would never be as beautiful as her mom, not by a long shot. She thinks that it's almost impossible to reach that level of perfection.

There are times though, when she was being distracted by her father's sharp features that she inherited, that it overpowers the side that she inherited from her mom.

She used to love it at first, but now she hates it.

If she could just erase her father's trace in her, she would pay the price, no matter how broke she would be.

The memory seems so long ago, as she tries to remember her desire to go to music school. How much her mom loved the idea since she also loves music and playing instruments. But all of that went into flames, when her mom died.

Being engaged to Momo made all the difference for her. It certainly felt like she stepped through a fog that finally cleared.

Breakfast with her sister and father had always been a painful and silent affair. Uncomfortable and awkward, as their father continuously ignores them. He seems to only be interested in the daily news when he reads newspapers, not sure what he's longing to see there.

The worst part is that she still can't just leave the table not until they are excused. She could only stand up the table until her sister or her father let her.

Momo was waiting for her at the school entrance. When she reached her, Momo seemed to be not in the mood as her steps echoed through the space, evidence of an annoyed stomp.

"What's wrong?"

"Just some entitled students." Momo replied.

And rather than giving some positive advice to her girlfriend, Dahyun felt the coldness inside her seep out. As she feels angry all the time, it was only Momo who could make her calm down, and the girl doesn't even know that she's doing it. A very large part of it is because, Momo practically became Dahyun's home, she invaded her head, into the space inside her chest that she tentatively called her heart.

"Do you want me to kick their ass?"

Momo rolled her eyes and let out a frustrated sigh. "Real mature, Dahyunnie." she said, "As if that would solve my problem."

Admittedly, she did not expect that Momo would agree to her, but it also felt oddly freeing to tell her thoughts out loud. It elated her.

But of course, she was content with just listening to her talk about food, or about classes, or when she scolds her if she gets the wrong answers to their exams. She lets herself enjoy the sweet scent of her perfume. And she lets the day pass with just the right amount of banter and laughter.

It finally felt like she could have happiness again, and that she may have been arranged to marry this girl, but for the first time in a long time, it felt like she's doing it for herself.

Their day was going smoothly, until she looked for Momo who was taking a long time to go back after she excused herself earlier.

She found Momo with a guy, and it looks like Momo was pissed.
