I'm back in my cell and fully dressed by the time that Thor finally shows up to collect me. Man he's looking good today. I'd almost forgotten that I'd been locked down here for two whole days so far.

All I can focus on is the fact that I'd have to keep Odin busy long just enough for Skurge to find that map.

"Hello, handsome",

"My father is awaiting your presence. Are you ready?"

"Let's not keep him waiting".

Once he's walking me to the throne room, I decide to engage him in a little conversation. Maybe I could earn his trust a little, even if it means being honest.

"I'm sorry if I came across as rude and confrontational the other day".

"It is quite alright".

"My name is Krystal Vaillancourt, by the way".

"Are you going to cooperate today, Lady Krystal?"

"That depends. If your father's goal is to kill the witch then I can't. I have to be the one to do it".

"Why is it so important to you? Has she wronged you in some way?"

"She placed a curse on me a long time ago. The only way I can break that curse is if I kill her myself. If someone else does it then I'll be stuck with this curse forever".

"What does this curse entail?"

"I'd rather not discuss it with you. It's a little on the personal side".

I wasn't telling anyone, but it had given me nothing but pain. Not just because of what it takes away from me, but due to the utter betrayal I felt because of it.

"Father, I have brought you the prisoner as requested".

"Thank you, my son. Has your stay down in the cells given you enough time to reconsider?"

"It's been quite pleasant actually. Three meals a day, plenty of sleep, lovely baths and I made a new friend".

"A friend?"

"Oh you know him. Tall, pale and greasy?"

"Father, I believe she may be referring to Loki" he smirks at my description of him.

"Well I hadn't actually caught his name yet".

"He is not one to be trusted" Thor tells me.

"Then it's a good job I don't trust anyone here, especially not him".

"Loki is the God of Mischief, my dear. If he gives you any attention whatsoever then it is for his own self interest" is what Odin tells me.

That makes a lot of sense. He knows I'm planning on escaping at some point and might be hoping I'll break him out too so he can stab me in the back later.

"So you want to know more about the witch? I'll happily tell you what I know as long as you don't kill her".

"I cannot make that promise on behalf of my soldiers if I were to send them there".

"Then I won't be telling you anything".

Thor whispers something in his father's ear. I'm assuming it might be about my curse situation.

"I see" he looks down at me after Thor moves away.

"So shall I go back to my cell now, or are we still getting to know each other better?"

"If we are to permit you to travel to Hel to complete whatever revenge you have in mind, then you must earn our trust first".

"Really? That's it?"

"You will remain a prisoner of Asgard, but my son here will ultimately decide your fate. If he deems you trustworthy then I will send you to Hel and have you brought back once you have killed the witch".

"Deal".

Should be easy enough.
