The next day when I get up to go for my early morning run as usual, I'm surprised when I come downstairs to find that Steve's already up. He's clearly gotten dressed to go out running himself.

"Hope you don't mind if I join you?"

"Not at all. I just hope you can keep up".

We run my normal route, along a marked trail through the woods and we stop about halfway to have a drink of water.

"Come check this out".

I show him the incredible view of the lake from here now that the house is all the way at the other side of the water, even he's taken aback by how perfect this place is.

"Wow. I'm really not surprised that Tony built a house all the way out here. It's beautiful".

"Why would he even bother living in the city when he's got a place like this?"

"I think this is more like a vacation home for him. He has them all over the world".

"Come on, super soldier. Let's get back, I'm starving".

After breakfast and a quick shower, I decide to watch TV with Steve. It's not really my thing. I prefer reading to be honest, but this is something we can do together.

As soon as I turn it on, The Avengers are all over the news and on almost every channel.

"Steve!" I shout him as soon as I see what happened in Sokovia.

"What's wrong?"

He comes walking into the lounge.

"Killer robots? An entire city floating in the sky? What the hell!?"

"We stopped them".

"What if something had happened to all of you? Who would be there to protect the world then, huh?"

"Hopefully someone like you, Star. The Avengers need somebody like you on the team".

"You know I can't yet, even if I wanted to" I sigh.

"There were a couple of Sokovian kids that had been experimented on there and they helped us win. The boy died, but the girl survived and she has magic like you".

"Are you sending her to Stephen?"

"No. I was actually planning on setting up some sort of training program for new recruits. Once it's up and running, I was hoping that after you come back, maybe you could help with her training?"

"Like a mentor?"

"She could use a strong female influence. The poor kid has nobody left now her brother's gone" he gives me his big puppy dog eyes.

"I guess I could try, especially since you asked so nicely. What's she like?"

"Wanda is a troubled kid. She lost her parents when she was young and now the team is all she has".

"Well she's lucky to have all of you".

"Listen, I got a phone call earlier from Fury and I have to head back tomorrow".

"You really have to leave so soon?"

"I'll come back as soon as I can. I promise".
