My body's in complete agony when I wake up in bed the next morning. I struggle to even walk over to the bathroom. That guy really did a number on me.

When I finally take a look at myself in the mirror, I'm covered head to toe in deep cuts and bruises. I thought I was better than this, but now I feel powerless and weak.

"FRIDAY, where does Tony keep the medical supplies?"

"Do you require medical assistance?"

"No. I just have a headache and I need painkillers, that's all" I lie.

"The cabinet in the main bathroom, Miss Star".

I'm annoyed that I can't even use my own magic to heal myself. It's useful for healing other people, but not so much for myself.

Once I've taken something for the pain, I step into the shower and wince as soon as the hot water hits my broken body. I could definitely sense that whoever that person is that did this to me last night has magic of his own.

After I manage to get myself dressed, I figure that I should probably go out to find him again and see if he's capable of healing me, seeing as he's the one that did this to me in the first place.

I wasn't holding out any hope that he'd be willing to help, but if he really wanted to train me later then I wouldn't be able to if I was still injured.

When I reach the area that he lured me to last night, all I can see is the remains of the fire and nothing else.

"Hello?"

I hear a noise in the distance, so I walk in that direction and find a horrific sight once I find the source.

The cloaked figure is dragging the bodies of who I can only assume were those ravagers he'd killed, along the ground.

He throws them in a deep ditch with ease and I watch him bury them effortlessly without even breaking a sweat.

"You should not be out here" he speaks suddenly.

"Neither should you, yet here you are".

"If I were not here, then you would be dead already".

"You could've just let them kill me, so that was your choice",

"Next time I may choose differently. Now what do you want?"

Charming.

"You have magic?"

"Yes".

"Can you heal?"

"Was I too rough for you, witch?" he laughs.

"Fine. If you're gonna be a dick about it then I'll go. Oh and I brought you something, by the way".

I throw a backpack in his direction that I'd filled up with food in an attempt to make a small peace offering, but he clearly didn't deserve it.

"What is that?"

"If you've been out here for a week then you must be hungry, right?"

"Why would you give me this?"

"I'm not a bitch, so let's just call it a thank you for killing those guys and say no more about it".

"Do you intend on returning this evening?"

"Considering the strength of the pills it took for me to just be able to walk out here this fine morning, I'm afraid I'll have to pass up on the training for a few days".

"Then I shall see when you are well".

"If you need anything at all, then you can come to the house. I'm sure you already know where it is".

"Perhaps I shall".

I really hope he didn't take me up on that offer because this guy seriously gives me the creeps.

Probably best I keep on his good side though if any more ravagers do show up here looking for me, or if I don't want him to kill me during training.
