I'm nervous as hell right now. After all of these months of living here completely alone with these two, I was finally about to meet people other than Wong and Stephen.

Not that spending day every day training wasn't fun and all, but I needed a day off from it and the Avengers coming here today was a perfect excuse.

I can hear voices coming from downstairs and the front doors closing, which means that they must've gotten here a little early.

"They're here!" Stephen calls me downstairs.

When I walk down the stairs, they're all looking at me kind of strangely, but I guess that's because I'm new and they have no reason to trust me at all yet.

"Everyone, this is the young woman that I spoke of over the phone".

"Hi, I'm Star" I practically whisper it like an idiot.

"I'm Tony Stark" he shakes my hand.

"Steve Rogers" another adds.

"Clint Barton" he smiles.

"Bruce Banner" he tells me with his arms remaining crossed, like he's a total germaphobe or something.

"Natasha Romanoff" a beautiful redhead introduces herself.

"Thor of Asgard" a tall blond man seems to appear behind them out of nowhere.

"It's nice to finally meet you all" I finally find my voice.

"So you're the woman that fell out of the sky?" Tony asks me.

"So it would seem" I reply to his question, knowing he knows that already.

"And you still have no memory of your life before before you came here?" Steve quizzes me.

"No, nothing" I answer, feeling like I'm under interrogation right now.

"What's with the twenty questions guys? Give a girl some space" Natasha deflects them.

"You know, I've always wanted to see what a witch can do in a fight. You up for that later?" Clint challenges playfully.

"Um, sure I guess so?"

"Keep in mind that she's only been training for six months, Barton" Steve reminds him like he needs to take it easy on me.

"Fine. I'll fight you then" I tell him.

They all look at Steve like they're waiting for him to accept or decline, but he doesn't say anything at first.

"Sure" he finally agrees to it.

"I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait to see this" Tony laughs.

Once I've gotten changed into my training clothes, I step outside where everyone is already waiting patiently. Stephen comes over to me while Wong is busy giving me a pep talk.

"Just remember your training, and you'll be fine" Stephen reassures me.

"Screw that, just kick his ass" Wong jokes to calm my nerves.

I see Steve removing his leather jacket and setting it down. Now I couldn't help but notice how tight his blue t-shirt was and how muscular he is, but I wasn't going to let that distract me.

When we're face to face, he stands in a typical boxing stance and I bow, never taking my eyes off of him like had Wong taught me.

He quickly throws the first punch, which I dodge with ease before throwing one at him that he also manages to avoid.

He lunges too far into his next punch, giving me ample opportunity to land a heavy blow to his left kidney. I can see the anger behind his baby blue eyes that he obviously doesn't want to show.

"Not bad" he tells me.

He turns and kicks me in the gut, a cheap shot, but I'll allow it. Once I'm steady and composed we go at it again.

Punch after punch, kick after kick, we really pummel into each other as though our very lives depended on it.

"Do you give up yet?" I ask, using the back of my hand to wipe the blood from my lip.

During the next round, he gets the advantage and soon has me in a chokehold.

"I can do this all day" he replies breathlessly in my ear.

"Oh you'd like that, wouldn't you?".

I shift my body slightly to the side, repeatedly elbowing him hard in the ribs until he has no choice but to let me go.

Once he loosens his hold, I reach up behind me with both hands now around the back of his neck before locking my fingers together.

When I bend forward, his body flips over mine and lands on the ground in front of me so hard that it cracks the concrete floor.

"That's enough, Star" Stephen stops me.

"Sorry, Stephen" I apologise, realising we'd probably both gone too far.

"You okay down there, Cap?" Tony asks with a smirk.

"Just give me a second" he groans while holding his ribs.

"I can help heal you, if you want?" I honestly feel so bad right now.

"I'm good, thanks".

He finally gets up off the ground and slowly walks back over to the others, who then start whispering amongst themselves. If this was a test or some kind of audition then I'm pretty sure I've just failed.
