I really hoped I might've at least dreamed of something that could possibly trigger a memory of something from my past, but I'd had no such luck.

"Stephen?" I call out when I wake up the following morning from a restless nights sleep.

I venture downstairs and look around, trying to find the kind man who was letting me stay here when I hear him on the phone talking to someone.

"She's still asleep" I hear him say.

Was he talking about me? I hadn't seen any other women here. So far it was just him and the man he calls Wong.

"For as long as I can Stark. Goodbye".

Stark? That name rang a bell but I can't say where from. I knock on the door once I see him put down the phone.

"Come in".

"Morning" I greet him with a weak nervous smile when I enter the room.

Although he's been nothing but kind and understanding with me so far, I still didn't this man at all.

"Are you feeling any better?"

"I feel more like I've been hit by a car today, opposed to the bus I did yesterday".

"Glad to see you have a sense of humour after what happened. I'll have to go out at some point today and get you some new clothes to wear".

"Why?"

"The dress you were wearing when you got here is as good as ruined. As much as I would normally like to see a beautiful woman wearing only my t-shirt, you can hardly parade around in that all day".

"Why, what's wrong with it?"

"You'll give poor Wong a heart attack" he laughs.

"Oh right, sorry" I apologise in embarrassment, realising that my legs are completely exposed.

"It's alright. In fact, I'll go out now while Wong makes you some breakfast".

"Thank you, Stephen. You don't have to be so nice to me".

"Call it a doctors natural bedside manner" he smiles as he leaves.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I watch Wong making pancakes for me, almost like a kid watches their own mother. He seems really friendly, genuine and like you could spill your deepest secrets to him, but he'd never judge you.
"So you still don't remember anything at all?"
"No. It's like every time I try to think about my past, I hit a dark void where a memory should be".
"Do you think it was caused by the fall? You did come down with some force".
"Maybe? Do you think I'm an alien?"
"You don't look like any alien I've ever seen. I have noticed that you seem to know what things are around here, so it's more likely that you're originally from Earth".
"So what do you guys do here exactly? What's The Sanctum for?"
"We defend this realm against dark forces that would wish to cause it harm".
"Defend it with what? Weapons?"
"Sorcery".
"What, are you a wizard or something?" I laugh in disbelief because there's no such thing as magic.
"No, I am a sorcerer, as is Stephen".
"So wait just a second, does that mean you can pull a rabbit out of a hat?"
"Very funny..." he pauses.
"It's okay, Wong. I don't really know what to call me either" I smile with my lips tightly pressed together, trying not to show that it bothers me.
"You should give yourself a name?"
"I wouldn't even know where to begin. Here's and idea, why don't you name me? Preferably something that's not completely terrible".
"What about...Cara?"
"Hard pass!"
"Lola?"
"Definitely not! Do you want me to hate you?"
"How about Star? After all, you did fall from the sky like one".
"Star? I really like that one" I smile and he looks pretty pleased with himself.
"What have I missed?" Stephen asks us when he walks into the kitchen with about twenty bags of clothes for me.
"She has a name" Wong tells him excitedly.
"You remembered something?" he almost appears worried.
"No, I let Wong give me a name".
"Oh god, what did you call her?"
"For your information, I quite like the name he chose for me. My name is Star now" I defend Wong.
"It's not bad" he agrees.
"So I see you went out to buy me a few outfits, but somehow brought me back an entire wardrobe full?"
"Sorry. I didn't know what you'd like so I just started grabbing everything. Shopping for women's clothes is a lot harder than it looks. I had to get the women who worked there to come over and help me before I went crazy".
"Thank you so much, I'll go try these on now. You know Wong's really funny. He actually tried to convince me that you two were sorcerers that protect the entire world against evil".
"Did he now?"
Stephen looks over at Wong like he isn't happy, while also trying to maintain his cool in front of me.
"Well this is awkward. I'm gonna leave you guys to it".
