It's another couple of hours before I'm finally considered well enough to return to the cells. When I get there, I'm not greeted with a pleasant sight once I walk past Loki's cell.

Frankly, it's in an absolute state of chaos.

All of his furniture is either smashed to pieces or turned completely upside down, his bedding has even been ripped to shreds.

The worst part of all is that every single book he had so neatly displayed, has every single page torn out of them and they're now scattered around his cell like confetti.

Loki wasn't in there now, or at least not yet. This must've been the punishment that Thor had decided to give him for what he believes he'd done to me.

If I had just kept my damn mouth shut and not angered the guards then none of this would've happened, so I can't help but feel bad for this.

When they finally bring him back, he hides his emotions well once he sees what they've done to his cell. Even after they put him inside, his face is completely void of emotion.

"Just incase you were thinking of using magic to fix all of this" one of them says before they leave him alone with his collar on.

"Loki?" I try to talk with him once the guards have finally gone.

"Don't" he utters quietly.

"I'm sorry" I can't help but tell him once I see him attempting to sift through the carnage that was now his cell.

As the hours go by, the guards continue to pass his cell every forty five minutes. They laugh at his expense when they see him trying to organise the mess that they've made.

"Why did you lie for me?"

He doesn't reply at first, so I think he's just ignoring me because he's angry.

"Are you alright?" he finally talks, but avoids the question I'd just asked.

"I'm fine, just a little bruised still".

"I am glad to hear it".

"This might not mean much now, but I really am sorry".

"I know" he sighs as he examines the cover of one of his books that was now completely ruined.

"Why did you tell them you did it, Loki?"

"What else could I do? Even if I had told them the truth while you were still unconscious, they would not have believed me. This way your plan can still go ahead at least".

"But at the expense of everything you have? It wasn't worth it".

"These are material things. They mean nothing to me really".

"Your books do. You love those books".

"They can be easily repaired once this collar is removed".

"And how long will that be?"

"I do not know".

"I really owe you one".

"One what?"

"A favour. To thank you for what you did for me today, especially after what they've done to your cell".

"I may take you up on that someday".

"I told Thor I couldn't remember anything, I didn't know what else to say".

He goes quiet again, I don't even blame him for that.
