When I wake up in the morning, Loki isn't next to me in bed. I go to the bathroom to freshen up before going downstairs and find him making us both breakfast.

He looks happy to see me, but then I remember that we'd both said we love each other for the first time last night, and that must be the reason.

"Good morning" he smiles and kisses me.

"Good morning. Are you trying to spoil me?"

"I am simply giving the woman I love what she deserves".

The breakfast he'd made us is delicious and it felt so strange sitting next to him in this domestic setting.

When I first woke up with no memory I felt completely alone in the universe, but now I have the love of a god who was willing to fake his own death to come to my rescue.

I'd even witnessed him being stabbed and taking a severe beating, all for the sake of protecting me.

He leaves once we've finished to clean up while I get dressed. Soon after, I join him in the study, but I wanted to spend time with him and not have him constantly in here every day.

"I'm bored".

"What would you like to do?"

"We could go for a walk outside?"

"Wrap up warm, my dear".

I notice that he doesn't put any extra layers of clothing on to go outside, which is a little weird and the cold doesn't seem to bother him at all.

"Is something the matter?" he asks, noticing my confusion.

"How are you not freezing?"

"I am a frost giant".

"What's a frost giant?"

"Would you like to see?"

I nod out of curiosity just before his skin changes to a deep shade of blue, with raised markings appearing on the surface, and his eyes turn blood red, but surprisingly, none of that scares me.

"You still look like you" I trace my finger along one of the lines on his forehead.

"Does my appearance not repulse you? I would hardly blame you if it did".

"No, I think you're beautiful" I tell him honestly.

"You are simply being kind" he lowers his gaze from me like he's ashamed of himself this way.

"Can I kiss you?"

He doesn't answer, but I still go ahead and give him one so he realises I wasn't just being polite. His lips are cold and tingly, so I can't help but smile when he kisses me back because I like it.

Could this be another reason he doesn't like to be touched? Maybe he's afraid that whoever he opens up to would reject him for who he truly is once they found out about this.

"That was nice" I smile and we continue walking.

"Only my mother and father have ever seen me this way" he confesses while he changes back into his usual self.

"So you hide it with magic?"

"My father took me from my home world when he found me abandoned and left for dead as an infant. He used magic to cover my true form so I could blend in amongst the Asgardians and then raised me as his son".

"Do you miss him?"

It might seem like an odd question to ask considering everything that's happened, but I wanted to know.
