Once I've gotten back to where Loki is, I start pressing random buttons on the device, not having a damn clue what I'm doing. I hear a faint clicking sound so I check the back and it's finally unlocked.

After taking it off of him, I place a hand at either side of his bloodied, rain soaked face to heal him.

His cuts and bruises gradually fade away and his breathing becomes less laboured, but he remains unconscious while the rest of his body slowly mends.

I begin to wonder why he called me Krystal earlier. Was that the name I went by before I became Star?

His eyes finally open and he starts looking around in a panic, not knowing what had just happened.

"Star?"

"It okay, you're safe now".

"You should not be out here. The ravagers..."

"They're all dead, Loki".

"You?" he sounds surprised.

"What can I say, I had a good mentor".

"Clearly I trained you rather well if you dispatched the remaining ten of them alone".

"There's ten? I thought there were only two out here!"

"What!?" he tries to get up, not realising that I was joking.

"I'm kidding, Loki".

"That was not amusing!"

"It was a little bit funny" I laugh at how annoyed he is.

With his body now fully recovered, I help him to his feet. I felt bad that he was only out in the woods alone when they got here because of me.

"I'm sorry".

"For what exactly?"

"That stupid bet this morning that was my idea. You wouldn't have been out here if it wasn't for me".

"Never apologise for winning".

"But you got hurt?"

"I was captured due to my own carelessness and nothing more".

"I didn't want anything bad to happen with you still thinking that I hated you".

"You do not?".

"No, I want you to come home".

"So you could not make it one day without my presence?" he smiles.

"Don't push it, Loki".

Both of us are drenched by the rain when we finally reach the house having walked the whole way back in it.

"I don't know about you, but I'm absolutely freezing" I tell him.

"We should change out of these wet clothes".

"Good idea. I definitely need a shower after all that".

"I will do the same".

I didn't actually notice until I'm standing in the shower just how much blood and dirt I've got encrusted deep beneath my fingernails.

Maybe I should feel worse for killing ten people, but when push came to shove, it was them or me and I made my decision. I'll just have to live with it.

Loki looks a lot better when I come back downstairs and find him standing there in the kitchen, making us both a warm drink.

"Who knew a god could be so easily domesticated?"

"It is the least I could do after you healed me" he smiles.

"You have a habit of putting yourself in danger".
