When I wake up the following morning, I have a few moments of restful bliss before last nights events suddenly come rushing back to me. How could I have let that happen?

I bury my face into a pillow and scream, finding that my throats still sore from all of the moaning and screaming I did, thanks to Loki.

What the hell was I supposed to do now?

I definitely can't look Steve in the eyes ever again, knowing that he was only at the other side of the door, unknowingly listening to me while Loki was between my legs.

Oh my god, I'm so embarrassed right now I just want to curl up in a ball and die!

Finally after dragging myself out of bed, I get a quick shower and head downstairs. Steve's already sat in the kitchen eating cereal when I walk in.

"Morning" I smile innocently.

"How's the toe?"

"The what?"

"Last night, you said you stubbed your toe?"

"Yeah, it's fine".

I can't believe I forgot I'd said that.

"Are you sure? It sounded like it hurt".

"Well you know when you hit it just right and can't bring yourself to look because you swear to god that it's broken, and they're probably gonna have to amputate it? It felt like that at first, but once the pain wore off I was totally fine".

I sound completely insane right now.

"If you say so" he laughs.

"You want to go for a run or something?"

"I can't. I've got to head out soon if I wanna get there by tomorrow night".

"Okay".

I don't actually want him to leave anymore because I'll be left alone here with Loki, knowing that it's going to lead to a very awkward conversation between us.

Sure, Loki's handsome and has the oral skills of a literal god, but before yesterday I'd never really thought of him as anything other than a mentor and hoped we were becoming friends.

Now I don't know what he is to me anymore.

"Hope to see you again soon" I say goodbye to Steve as he gets in his car.

"I'll call you" he smiles and drives away.

The moment I walk back inside the house and close the door behind me, Loki startles me with his sudden presence.

"Ready to train?"

"Jesus!"

"Wrong god, little witch. Be ready in ten minutes".

"Fine" I roll my eyes and he notices.

"I had hoped that by relieving all of your pent up frustrations, you would be rather more focused this morning".

"Are you really going to pretend like that's the reason you did it?"

"I will admit, it gave me a great amount of satisfaction to finally see you so submissive".

"You clearly aren't as good as you think you are because if anything, I dislike you even more now".

"And yet your body tells a different story. Perhaps next time I will deny you of your release and leave you wanting as a punishment".

"There isn't going to be a next time, Loki".

I could hardly wait to train with him now because I have a really the strong urge to punch him in the face.

Once I'm dressed to train, I walk in the gym where he still looking as smug as ever standing there waiting for me.

"Hopefully today will be the day you finally win due to your new found hatred for me".

"It's hardly new found".

Our swords clash and for the first time I manage to kick one from his grip, giving me the upper hand.

"How about we make things a little more interesting?" I get cocky.

"Go on".

"A bet".

"What prize would the winner receive?"

"Whatever they want. If I win for example, then you're definitely out of this house and living back in the woods".

"An interesting choice".

"What about you?"

"When I win, you have to admit that you do not truly hate me".

"Shall we begin?"

He fights harder than before, but I don't let the fact that he still only has one sword make me go any easier on him.

Just when I begin to think I'm never going to beat him, I strike him in the side of head with the pommel of my sword.

With him disoriented for a second, I seize the opportunity to use his size to my advantage. I get low and sweep his legs from beneath him, causing him to fall to the ground.

The second he's down, I flip onto him, straddling him victoriously and holding a sword to his throat.

"I have trained you well" he smiles.

"Yes, you did".

I get up and hold out my hand to him, which he takes. He looks proud of me, but also frustrated with himself for losing.

"I shall pack up my belongings".

"What?"

"You won the wager and I intend on honouring your wish for me to reside elsewhere".

It's only just occurred to me that if he leaves now then I'll be alone again. There wouldn't be anyone to talk to or train with, so I'd just be stuck here all by myself.

He doesn't even hesitate to leave and he practically runs to his room to grab his things, leaving me alone downstairs. As much as he's pissed me off this past day, I didn't actually want him to go.

Once he's back downstairs, I don't know what to say to him when he puts his cloak and boots on by the front door.

Even when he looks down at me my mind is blank.

"You made me proud today" he smiles genuinely.

"Loki, if you need anything..."

"I know where to find you, Star".

And that's it, he was gone and the house felt so empty all of a sudden.
