After nightfall the lights dim in the dungeons and once I'm confident that Loki's finally fallen asleep in his cell, I decide now is the time to make my move.

I cast an illusion over my cell, making it appear as though the little peasant girl I'd pretended to be earlier was soundly asleep inside of it.

After disguising myself as a random palace guard, I head up the stairs and out of the dungeons with with no one suspecting a thing.

Having guessed that Odin might possibly be in his study at this late hour, I then use a small locator spell to find my way there.

I reach a wooden door and knock on it before I hear his voice inviting me inside or more accurately, the guard he'll think I am.

"What is it?"

"My King, we have word of the witch you had banished days ago".

"What of her?"

"It is suspected that she may have infiltrated the palace using magic to disguise herself".

"And who is the source of this information?"

"Me" I smile.

I turn back into myself and his face turns to one filled with anger at my sudden presence.

"Gua..."

"SILENCE".

I cut him off before he can call out for help while he struggles to open his mouth. All my thoughts were clouded with ideas of how to make him suffer for what he did to me and Loki.

"SIT" I instruct him and he does as he's told immediately.

"You made a very big mistake, didn't you? You should've just had me killed instead, then I wouldn't be back here right now to get my revenge".

I pull out the dagger that Hela had given to me. I show him it, knowing he's powerless to stop me, but when he sees it in my hand he has a look of recognition.

"Do you like it? A woman named Hela gave me this to carve my mother open, and I kind of like it. She was the one who suggested that I keep my mother alive and take her powers instead. None of that would've been possible without you banishing me".

I smile as though I'm grateful for what he did, but I can see the struggle behind his eye when he tries to fight against my power. Even he isn't strong enough.

"Don't worry, I'm not here to kill you if that's what you're thinking. I'm not a monster like you. All this was down to the fact that I fell in love with the wrong son, in your opinion. I hardly believe that justifies murdering you".

I catch him glancing over at the door when guards can be heard walking past his study going about their normal rounds.

"So as I was saying, I'm not here to kill my husband's father no matter how cruel you've been to him. I know that Loki wouldn't approve. I'm going to grant you a fate far worse than that".

That's when I see the hint of fear written all over his face, so I lean in close. He already knew I'd returned with the ability to do anything I wanted to him.

"SLEEP UNTIL YOU DIE" I whisper in his ear before I move back to watch his eyes slowly closing.

Afterwards, while I sneak back down to the dungeons disguised as a guard again, I don't feel a hint of guilt for what I'd just done to Odin.

With Odin in that condition, surely Thor would now have to take his place as King of Asgard, and Loki would be free without having to run away from his home.

I make it back and lay down on my bed just in time when Loki rouses from sleep to look over and check that I'm okay.

"Krystal?"

"Yes?"

I yawn as if he's just woken me up.

"Come over here".

I open my cell to go over to his and lay down facing him while he gently runs his fingers through my peasant girl hair.

"I much prefer the real you".

"Rude" I laugh playfully and shove him before burying my head into his chest to get comfortable.

"You cannot fall asleep in here" he sighs with disappointment.

"I can't wait to finally fall asleep in your arms, husband".

"Nor can I, wife".

I should feel bad that I'd just given his father a death sentence, but even looking at Loki right now, I still didn't. I felt a sense of pure satisfaction like I'd never felt before and it was slightly unsettling.
