I actually like living out here alone, but I've really been missing Wong and Stephen a lot lately.

Talking to them over the phone isn't the same as having them here with me, and I've managed to read every single spell book that Wong sent me with already.

Steve and I still speak almost every day, sometimes more than once a day, and after five weeks our conversations have turned slightly more flirtatious.

He's really nice and understanding, but sometimes my nerves get the better of me. I sometimes wonder what my romantic life was like before even though I try not to.

Had I ever even been with a man or was I promiscuous? I know the old me had kissed Thor at some point, but I'm over two hundred years old so how many people had I kissed or slept with exactly?

One morning after my shower, the phone rings and I know that it's Steve calling me again. I can't help but smile every time I see his name.

"Hey" I keep smiling even though I know he can't see me.

"Hey, Star. What are you up to?"

"I went out for a run earlier so I've just got out of the shower. Why?"

"Strange said it would be okay to visit you today, if you're up for that?"

"Really? How many of you are coming?"

"Actually it's just gonna be me this time. He says it might be too obvious if we all disappeared at the same time, just incase we're being watched too".

"When would you get here?"

"In around an hour, if that's okay?"

"I can't wait".

Great. Now I sound desperate.

"See you soon".

Oh crap. The thought of me and Steve being alone together after weeks of flirting over the phone is giving me some serious anxiety right now.

First things first, I needed to clean this place up because I'm a damn messy houseguest.

After cleaning around like a mad woman, there's a knock at the door downstairs.

"FRIDAY, can you let Captain Rogers in?"

"Of course, Star".

I feel nervous as hell while I quickly get changed into something nicer.

"Star, you here?" Steve calls from downstairs.

"Just a second!"

I check myself in the mirror one last time and head down to see him there, looking happy to see me. I've got serious butterflies when he wraps his arms around me.

"You look great".

"Thanks. How's things out in the civilised world these days?"

"I take it you don't watch the news much?"

"No, why?"

"That sceptre we took from Sokovia lead to some trouble. A lot of innocent people lost their lives because of it".

He looks racked with guilt.

"We've spoken on the phone almost every day, so why am I only just hearing about this now?"

"I didn't want to worry you now that you're stuck all the way out here. All of us are having to lay low for a while, so I asked Strange if I could come visit you".

"So the whole 'Avengers not being able to come here all at once' thing was a lie?"

"Sorry. I didn't want to admit that I just really wanted to see you".

"Why not?"

"I'm not good at all of this. I haven't really dated anyone since I woke up from the ice".

"Well I have no dating experience whatsoever, so you still have a better track record than me. Did you ever have anyone special in your life before that?"

"There was one woman, her name was Peggy. She was something special".

"I take it she..."

"No, she's still alive and I visit her from time to time in the nursing home where she lives now. She had a good life and a family of her own after me".

I genuinely feel bad for him.

"From what Thor's told me, I didn't have the greatest life. I don't even know if I've ever had anyone special before".

"There's one positive to that".

"And what's that, Mr Rogers?"

"Whoever the lucky guy is that you fall for one day, he'll get to be your first love".

"Well there's someone that I kind of like at the moment".

"Tell me about him" he smirks.

"He's kind, sweet, handsome, and gives really great hugs" I smile.

"Does he know you feel that way?"

"I really hope so because if he doesn't by now, then he's a total idiot".
