The Valkyries are considered the "chooser of the fallen." They decide who joins Odin in Valhalla and who will parish on the battlefields. The Valkyries can be decribed as elegant, strong, and noble women riding on deceased horses. They wear silver helments with wings sprouted from each side. Legend has it that the wings represent the wings of Odin's crows, that are perched aside his shoulders. While these angels are protrayed as beautiful, they can be just as evil and sinister. They long for battle and they are constantly bloodthirsty. They are not afraid to ride into battle and defend their Allfather.
The leader of the Valkyries is their Queen, Sigrun. While there is not a lot information about Sigrun, her story is protrays her to lead a very sad life leading to her death and she is reborn a Valkyrie.
