Chapter Twenty-Nine

Y/N

"Bambina! Are you ready for your love scene today?" Stefania teased as she walked up to me.
"Honestly? I'm a little nervous." I whispered as I hugged her tightly.
"You'll do great. Just pretend it's me. It'll be fine." She rubbed her hands up and down my back.
"I wish it was you. Three scenes of making out with Barrett today." I sighed.

"Hey! It's not like I'm a bad kisser or anything." Barrett teased as she walked up.
"They need us on set. You ready?"

I nodded and gave Stefania a quick kiss, and followed Barrett to set.

"Let me know if you get uncomfortable, okay? We can stop and take a short break." She whispered as we stood by waiting for them to tell us what to do.
I nodded and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Ladies. We're going to film a few scenes today. First the two of you in bed, second, the two of you in the station, and the third one is of you two in the station." Krista said as she smiled at us.

I nodded and followed Barrett to the bed.
"You okay?" She asked as we got under the covers and slipped off our robes.
"Yeah. Just nervous."

"Close your eyes." Barrett instructed as she took my hands.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"I know it's your first on screen kiss. But, you got this. It's just me. Pretend there's nobody else but us. Hell, even pretend I'm Stefania. Whatever makes you feel comfortable. Remember, you say the word and we stop. We'll take as many breaks as you need, okay?"

I opened my eyes and gave her a small smile, "Thanks B." I nodded.
Barrett moved and straddled my lap, I adjusted myself and got comfortable.
"You got this." She whispered quietly.

"Quiet on set! Ready... action!" The director called out.

Barrett leaned down and gently captured my lips with hers. I imagined she was Stefania, even if the kiss was one hundred percent different.

"Barrett! Y/N! This is supposed to be passionate! Sexy!" The director called out.
"You okay with that?" Barrett asked me.

"Yeah. Let's do this." I nodded.

"Ready, action!"

I reached up and tangled my hand in Barrett's hair, pulling her down and crashing my lips against hers.
I quickly flipped us, so that I was on top. I grabbed her hands and pinned them down against the bed, receiving an involuntary gasp from Barrett.

I laughed quietly and Barrett sat up in the bed, not breaking the kiss. She wrapped her arms around me, pulling me closer.

"We- We shouldn't be doing this." I breathed out as she placed lazy kisses against my neck.
"Why? Because it's against protocol?" She smirked.
"That's exactly why Victoria." I pulled back and cupped her face, making her look at me.
"Screw protocol. Do you want to live by the rules, or do you want to be happy?"

I stayed silent for a moment, and smiled as I connected our lips together again.

"Cut! That was amazing!" The director called.

I got off her lap and pulled my robe over myself.
"See? Easy." Barrett laughed as I handed her her robe.
"Bambina! That was amazing!" Stefania said excitedly as I walked off set.
"Were you really watching me and Barrett make out?" I laughed as I grabbed a water bottle.

"I wanted to make sure you were okay." Stefania pouted.
"As soon as this is over, we're going into my trailer." I whispered with a smirk.

Stefania blushed and leaned down, giving me a quick kiss. "Now I have Barrett cooties."

"Come on Y/N! We gotta go to the other set." Barrett called.
"I love you. I'll see you after."

"Damn it Kate! Will you just listen to me!" Barrett yelled as she followed me into the sleeping quarters.
"Keep your damn voice down! No! I don't even know why you're making this a big deal!" I groaned as I threw my bag on the bed.
"We're freaking fire fighters, Victoria. We run into burning buildings. It's what we do." I whisper yelled.
"You ran in with no gear at all! Nothing! Not even a freaking mask! You could've died!"
"Any of us could die any day. It's part of the job." I sighed and rubbed my face.
"I don't want to lose you." She whispered.

I lowered my hands and walked over to her. I cupped her face and gently wiped away her tears.
"You won't lose me, okay?" I whispered back.
"Promise?"
"I promise." I closed my eyes and leaned my forehead against her's.

Barrett gently captured my lips with hers, but it quickly became heated.
I backed her towards the door, locking it with my free hand.
I picked her up, her legs instinctively wrapping around my waist.

"Cut! Great job! The chemistry is insane!" The director called.

I gently set Barrett down on the ground, and we gave each other a high five.
"Great job B." I smiled as we walked off set.
"You're doing great. I told you that you'd be fine."
"I know, I know. I was just nervous. I mean hell, I was a waitress. I've never done anything like this before now. And now I'm making out with someone on national TV? It's overwhelming."

Stefania

I was sitting in Y/N's trailer waiting for her to get finished. I scrolled through my phone, and got a notification that someone had tried to call me. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I pressed play on the voicemail.

Y/N walked through the door, and stopped when she saw the look on my face.
"Baby?" She whispered as she sat next to me.

My eyes widened as I listened to the voicemail and I grabbed her arm.
"Baby what's wrong?" She asked.
"I- uh. Before you and I got together, I sighed up to be a foster parent." I whispered as I put my phone down.
"You did?"
"Yeah. I signed up two years ago. I had forgotten about it."
"Was that them? What did they say?"
"Um... they want me to take a baby. A newborn. I didn't even realize they still had my information."
"Oh..." Y/N trailed off.
"I have to call them and let them know I can't do it." I went to pick up my phone.

"Wait, why can't you?"
"Bambina, we have Rory. And I couldn't ask you to-"
"Tell them yes." She whispered.
"What?"
"Tell them we'll take the baby. It's obviously meant to be, Stefania. They don't call you for two years, and then they just randomly contact you? It's fate."
"Okay, okay. We're doing this." I smiled at my fiancé.
"We're doing this."
