Shizune adjusted her coat, shivering at the unknown reason, she passed the clipboard to the waiting girl in the counter, smiling at the patient's she treated that had been doing well.
It always bring her comfort, their smiles and gratitude always makes her feel special and feel needed and success in every way she can help.Sometimes it might get unfortunate for some people who lost their love ones and die,but hey..Shizune thought that it's the way the life works.
It's the Circle of Life,Disney would have said. But as she sat down at her swivel chair.Avalanche feeling drowning and pestering to make her feel guilty for what happened. The way she can picture out every lives that had lost, the mourning faces..she was used to it..but everytime she sees it,she cant grasp the concept that she was practically useless in every situation in the nearing end.
A child,9 yrs old child, had died today.Childrens was known to get Leukemia more often than adults in the recorded tally in every hospital and medical sheets. It was tragic yet,its inevitable.Miyuri was a very sweet child who only wished to have a bunny with her until her last breath.
And Childrens were Shizune's weak spots.
She smiled sadly, and covers her face with her palms.Controlling herself not to burst out crying again.Being a Doctor might be amazing as they can save lives and help people but they also suffered from the consequence of the trial of everyone's life.
She let out a sob. When someone knocks, startling her.She looked up and quickly compose herself to look professional before voicing out to let then enter.
The door opened to reveal two suited guards, making their way inside before putting their spot on each side of the doorway,as the white haired man entered.
"Sir"Shizune quickly stands up and bowed a little, ignoring the mans waving hands for her.
"I came here to visit"Jiraiya roamed his eyes inside and Shizune nodded.
"When is the operation again?"
"Next month, her schedule wasn't the same from the others and her room for the after surgery would be prepared although we still need for you to sign the papers.."Jiraiya listens to her words and she handed him the folder. The man in turn pursed his lips and fished out his wooden pen on his chest pocket before quickly waving his hands for his penmanship.
"Is it alright if I visit her today?"he asked.
"O-ofcourse..ofcourse...actually I'm quite surprised you didn't visited her last week"she walked around the table before leading outside, them following her as they talked.
"I can't risk her seeing a stranger like me"Jiraiya bitterly chuckles and Shizune noted his braced poised.
"You're his father..you are no stranger"she confirmed.
"But she didn't know that"Once they reached the door,She nodded at him before stepping aside almost bumping at the guards behind them.
She gave him an apologetic smile and froze when she realized who it was.Looking away angrily,Shizune ignored Jiraiya's two guards when the man dissapeared behind the door and she followed.
Watching the scene as the man gazed at the woman in so much love and adoration. The way he raised her hands and kissed behind it while muttering soothing words.
Shizune's mood was lifted up a little.Just like what she said.Sometimes in life, there's always the downside but if you look at it closer...there's a pigment of love everywhere, that you cant see but they existed.
As she watches in relief and envy at them,Shizune heard the word he uttered.
"Be strong,hime....for our daughter...for me.."
